We talk pucks and objects of that kind. We yell, complain, and analyze in the language of hockey fandom. Gretzky can do no wrong.
A Walk Over To The Ice Rink
I can recall the sound of the snow crunching under my boots as I walked for twenty minutes in the frigid cold. I was on the way to the community ice rink, and it was many years ago. Bundling up and making the trek over to the rink wasn't particularly exciting, it's hardly a story to tell. But, I knew that once I was on the ice, I’d be warm — and then extra layers of clothes would come off, and I'd be having fun. So the effort, from the onset, rarely did stop me from making my way out the door.

College Hockey | Quinnipiac's Maddy Samoskevich Is Blazing Her Own Trail
Sibling rivalries are a normal part of life in an athletic family. The desire to outdo one another can get rather intense. Quinnipiac Bobcats freshman Maddy Samoskevich has a scar above her eye to prove it.

Meeting Your Heroes
Some of the best moments growing up were meeting some of the folks who played for my team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. There was a strange feeling seeing them in person because it felt like seeing an old friend for the first time in a long time. I’d like to tell the tale of a few times I met a player.

The Gretzky Debate
One of the best/worst aspects of being a hockey fan is discussions with other fans. The pro is that you get the chance to express your opinions about a subject you are passionate about with someone who knows their stuff. The con is sometimes you end up in a conversation with someone who has the complete opposite opinion as you and that can be frustrating, especially when they are out of their element. I thought I might draft a few articles detailing some of the conversations I have had over the years.

Vegas Golden Knights 2021 season predictions
Hockey finally is back! For those of you unaware, I was born and raised in Vegas and I still live here. I do not foresee myself leaving Las Vegas any time soon. So obviously this article will be incredibly bias. Here are my predictions for my Vegas Golden Knights this upcoming 2020/2021 NHL season. And yes I'm aware this season didn't start until 2021, so it really should be called the 2021 season, but who cares? I'm sticking with tradition.

Hockey Team #11
The next team was one of my favourites in the Western Association when I was very young. I still remember watching Bill Guerin, Brenden Morrow, Marty Turco and Mike Modano play on television. I didn't see them often and the few times I had the chance to see them in action, I couldn't watch the whole game because it started a little later. Since then, I've drifted apart this team even though they are full of talent. I like their style of play, but a few teams have taken their place in my heart. I am thinking of the Edmonton Oilers, which I particularly like. Let's see what's in store for the Texas team next season.

Hockey Goalie Tips
Here are some tips about playing goalie. Besides making sure that you are properly warmed up before a game or practice, and you are properly stretched out to prevent injuries. If you feel yourself getting tight while doing exercises, take the time to stretch it out. There are a lot of ways to pull a muscle, sprain an ankle, or injure some other part of your body. I was a goalie, and now I am a massage therapist. I can tell when a person comes in from a sports injury due to not stretching when their body wants them to.

Hockey Team #10
If you've been following all my other NHL team reviews so far, you'll have noticed that with the exception of my favourite team, Montreal, I pick the teams alphabetically to do my little reviews. To close the letter C, all that's left are the Columbus Blue Jackets. This mysterious team that rarely makes the first pages due to the talent it contains, but that always succeeds in giving a competitive team to its fans for the last few years. It hasn't always been sunny for the Ohio team, but they've pulled themselves out of the abyss.

Hockey Goalie
Ice Hockey Goalie, is one of the hardest positions to play, as well as important. There is a Center, Right Wing, Left Wing, and Left Defense and Right Defense. All of which are important in the game of hockey. The one position that isn’t really spoken about is the Goalie. The complications, the stress, the adrenaline, or the dangers. Every sport comes with dangers, some aren’t even heard of or known about. Here is my story of why I had to stop playing.

Hockey Team #9
Now it's time to take a look at the former Quebec Nordiques, the Colorado Avalanche. One of the best formations in the national league and one that many experts announced as favourites in the last playoffs. The team led by Jared Bednar was eliminated by the Dallas Stars in the Western Association final. A surprise defeat that will certainly motivate the Colorado troops for next season. For this shortened season, anything is possible and this formation can, once again, aspire to the great honours.
