The Art of Thrift-Shopping
Patience, Patience, Patience The first tip I can give is to go into your thrifting adventure with an open mind, and with the patience of a zen Buddha. Thrifting has a lot of misses, many more misses than hits if we are being honest. You probably won't find that amazing pair of Miu Miu heels in your size at the first Goodwill you step into. You probably won't find any Miu Miu at any Goodwill, like, ever. That being said once in a while you will find that "I can't believe this is $12.00" hidden treasure, and it will make everything worth it.

An Interview with Emerging Artist Oriel Poole
If you have yet to hear of the "electro-soul siren" Oriel Poole, you're in for a treat. Based in Los Angeles, California, Poole is carving a niche all her own with music that blends R&B, synth-pop, and electronica. She's primarily self-taught, and that comes through in her music in the best way possible. It's passionate, authentic, and unafraid to challenge the norms set up by the music industry.

Drinking Rituals from Around the World
One of my favorite hobbies is exploring what drinking is like in different parts of the world. Have you tried Japanese whisky or Korean Soju? What about lesser known European spirits like Ouzo and Jenever? Along with tasting these international beverages, it's important to understand the drinking culture in the regions where they originated. Here are some of my favorite drinking rituals from around the world—I encourage you to try them for yourself!

How to Be an Ally to Your POC Cosplayers
The cosplay community is full of creative and nerdy individuals who love to come together to embrace their fellow nerds in fandom shenanigans. As much as the community embraces our differences, we still aren't exempt from issues like racism and colorism and other -isms/phobias. There have been too many occasions when a POC (person of color or NON-white) cosplayer dresses up as a non-white character and get told their skin color is "too dark for that cosplay." There have been cases of white (or Non-POC) cosplayers darkening their skin for the sake of "cos-accuracy" which the POC community has already expressed how harmful the practice is but people still do it.

Frenkie de Jong, a Future Star in the Making
The name Frenkie de Jong may not sound familiar for most people. The Eredivisie (Dutch 1st division) is not a highly televised league like the Premier League or La Liga, but it’s a league with lots of young talent. One of them is de Jong. The young Ajax midfielder has been displaying his passing and dribbling abilities for the past 2 seasons but really came to his own during the 2017-18 season. Last year, he had the best passing accuracy and dribble success rate in the Eredivisie with 91.5 percent and 90.3 percent respectively and that was while playing as a centre-back in a 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 system during a large part of the season.

7 Ways to Be Happy Today
Woke up in a funk? I feel you. That's usually how I wake up in the morning. Usually I dread getting out of bed and wish to ignore all of my responsibilities for the day. The only way that I can get myself out of that funk is to get myself motivated with something good that I have going on that day. Even if it's just seeing a friend for a few minutes or going to a class that I enjoy (yeah, I actually enjoy one or two) it helps to brighten up my day knowing I have something to look forward to. Here are 10 of some of my top ways of being happy every day.

My Perception on Marijuana: Then vs. Now
Ah, marijuana. Is it good? Is it bad? A debate that has never quite died down since it appeared in the United States in the 1930s. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion, but fact trumps all. Both sides of the marijuana debate should know that marijuana can be both good and bad. Take it from a former stoner.

Nutrition After "I Do"
I don’t usually talk about this very much on media because I am a lot more focused on writing poetry, some prose, and of course, taking care of my small online business with selling body butter. However, recently I have observed differing trends, like people doing many different diets like whole30, keto, etc. I felt a need to share this because of differing public opinions regarding how to take care of our bodies… inside and out.

What Is an Exit Scam?
We are living in a time where scams are commonplace. Chances are some of the change in your wallet might even be fake, created by a scam artist somewhere to imitate real money. Where there is money to be made, there are scam artists willing to exploit the system in order to make it—in any way or form that they can.

Reverse Culture Shock
If you are unfamiliar with the term "culture shock," in brief it means the mental (and sometimes physical) reaction you feel against a new place unknown to you. For instance, you have never traveled to Thailand before and, like me, you decide to pack up all you own into one large bag and move there—selling one's car and using the proceeds to fund the unconventional decision. After arriving in the new place, seeing the new sights, sensing the incredible (and some rank) smells... the once lovely "newness" of the place begins to overwhelm you. Now, the sights irritate you, the smells make you sick, and the clamour of people speaking a language you don't know in environments which are completely foreign to you make you angry. Is this rational? Of course not. Is this avoidable? Well, probably not for most people; who knows, there could be a rare exception. Will the initial love and joy return? YES!

Top 10 Laptops for Photo Editing in 2018
If there's one thing that has become very clear in recent years, it's that certain professions need better quality laptops than others. Most writers can get away with having a computer that's old enough to drink, but when it comes to graphic designers and photographers, it's a different story.
