Not Just For Clean Up: A History Of The MCU's Department of Damage Control
Initially an organisation that seemed to exist to help the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, from Phase Four onwards, the Department of Damage Control has shifted into a more antagonistic role. Most recently seen in the Wonder Man series, the current incarnation of Damage Control seems to target superpowered individuals, regardless of whether that person poses an active or intentional threat.

10 Times Rotten Tomatoes and I Disagreed
***Disclaimer*** I will be ranking these movies in the following manner: The greater the divide between Rotten Tomatoes and I, the higher up on the list (and I am referring to the critic's score, not the audience score). I will also show Rotten Tomatoes' score on each one in addition to my score. I am curious to know what everyone thinks, please let me know in the comments below!

Book Review: "The Queen" by Andrew Morton
You're probably wondering why on earth I would read this book. It was free and it was a fair length. That was basically it at first. But another reason is because I enjoyed the show The Crown and so, it only makes sense to read a book that goes through separating facts from fictions - and to be fair, there aren't a lot of fictions about the show it seems. From the birth of the little princess and the way in which her father was reluctantly to become the king, all the way to meeting and marrying the veteran prince, Duke of Edinburgh and even down to the death of her father, queendom and beyond, this book actually gives us a lot about a woman who basically embodied the greatness and modernisation of the British 20th Century.

Silver Screen Magic with Mae West
American actress and singer Mae West became a popular film actress during the Great Depression. She started entertaining in vaudeville, then performed on Broadway, and finally went to Hollywood. She signed up with Paramount Pictures and made her debut in the 1932 film “Night After Night.” She also starred in musicals, comedies, and crime dramas. The American Film Institute named her one of the best classic Hollywood actresses.

The Rachels - 2025
Much to my surprise, I have kept a list of the films I‘ve seen this year. I daresay it isn’t complete. There will be films that snuck in on a late night in front of the TV that I would’ve forgotten to note. Or others, that I went to watch at the cinema, but then had a red wine and promptly forgotten about. But it’s not a bad approximation of the films I’ve seen this year. In total, there are 53 films listed, so an average of one a week and one for good luck.

Marvel Zombie
The last entry into our 2025 superhero projects catalogue is Marvel Zombies. This was a show that was anticipated by absolutely no one and it disappeared from the public consciousness as quickly as it was released. There was nothing special about the project that made it a must see, or a must remember. In fact if anything it's a must forget.

Book Review: "Human Monsters: A Horror Anthology" by Various Authors
Yes, it's horror again. I'm feeling kind of down and whenever I'm down I read horror because it makes me feel better. Have you heard about that study that states people who are in depression should watch and read horror in order to make themselves feel better? Yeah, I checked it out some time ago - you should too. Human Monsters is exactly what you think it is, it is about monsters who are human - those who lurk in the normal world, not in the shadows, not in the darkness - they stand right in front of us. They are us. Let's go through my favourite stories in the anthology...

The Case for Multi‑Chain DeFi Development: Unlocking Liquidity and Expanding User Adoption
The development of the DeFi stack enabled lending, borrowing, trading, liquidity provisioning, yield farming and derivatives trading to be done without trusted intermediaries. However, due to liquidity and users being spread across multiple blockchains, single-chain DeFi protocols encounter difficulties in scalability, capital efficiency, user experience, and interoperability with other DeFi protocols across multiple chains. Multi-chain DeFi protocols have been developed to overcome some of the limitations of single chain protocols through the pooling of liquidity across multiple chains. Protocols in the multi-chain architecture can benefit by having redundancy in network and infrastructure and also more opportunities to innovate, thus leading to long-term resiliency for the protocol. Multi-chain is now seen as a key component of scalable, efficient, and user-friendly protocols by defi development services.

Kenton of the Star Patrol: A review of Stories: Vampires of the Void, and Serein's of Space
In this episode of the 1950s Science Fiction Podcast, the host reviews two early 1950s pre-code comic stories featuring Wilson Keaton from "Star Patrol" in "Strange Worlds." In “Vampires of the Void,” Keaton battles Queen Misery, who uses humans to power her planet’s generators. In “Sirens of Space,” Keaton confronts a queen who hypnotizes and enslaves space liner passengers with her voice. Both stories highlight classic pulp sci-fi action, inventive villains, and pre-code comic edginess, while the host reflects on the era’s storytelling and ethical themes.

Bad Bunny. AI-Generated.
Bad Bunny has never fit neatly into a box—and that’s exactly why he continues to dominate global music conversations. From redefining Latin trap to reshaping award-show expectations, the Puerto Rican superstar has become one of the most influential artists of his generation. As the 2026 Grammy Awards unfolded, discussions around Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, and the race for Album of the Year once again highlighted how modern pop is evolving beyond borders, genres, and even language.

Companies That Develop Apps in 2026: What Actually Matters Now. AI-Generated.
Let’s be real for a second. If you’re reading this in 2026, you’ve probably realized that "building an app" isn't the golden ticket it was ten years ago. Back then, you could slap a half-baked Flappy Bird clone on the App Store and retire to the Bahamas. Today? The Apple App Store and Google Play are graveyards of good intentions and bad code.

CINEMASCOPE: Bones of Contention. AI-Generated.
The world of cinema has always been fertile ground for creativity, storytelling, and innovation. Yet, behind the glamour of the silver screen, the industry is frequently mired in disputes that reveal deeper tensions—ethical, artistic, and economic. From casting controversies to intellectual property battles, modern cinema faces a series of “bones of contention” that challenge how films are made, distributed, and consumed.
