In the Dark
Icy blue eyes stared at me through the darkness. The fact that I could see these eyes so clearly in the darkness sent shockwaves up my eleven-year-old spine. I had just woken up from a rather intense nightmare, incidentally about some creep that was watching me at the foot of my bed. ‘’I can see you,’’ I whispered.

The House
A punk with spiky blonde hair snuck into a child’s bedroom and stuck a broken broom handle in his forehead. The child’s body was found a couple of hours later by his father. That was twenty years ago. A mother and her two young daughters Emily and Julie, were currently living in that home now. The address was 323 Washington Street and it was known around town as the Murder House. Kids would tease each other and dare each other to ring the doorbell on Halloween night. No kids would ever take the bait. This would win them the pleasure of merciless hazing from their friends.

Why Vocal is Goated
Vocal is an extremely underrated writing platform. I love writing short fiction. Writing short fiction and the six hundred minimum word count for Vocal stories is a perfect platform to publish my short stories. I was not sure about Vocal at first but once I received my first payment from them, I was hooked. I was a bit annoyed at first because of the 35 dollars withdrawal minimum threshold. My biggest saving grace was top story bonuses. The bonuses were five dollars a pop. Seven Top Stories and I was ready to cash out. I withdrew my cash to stripe on December 22nd. I was hoping to have the money by Christmas but did not receive the money in my bank account until after the holidays. While I was annoyed not to get the money until after Christmas; I was able to start the New Year getting paid to write. It started my year off right.

The Hollywood Assassin
The crowd roared as The Crusher jumped off the steel cage and delivered a devastating double ax handle to the back of Jim Connors. The Crusher pinned Jim. The cage raises and out comes The Hollywood Assassin, C-Rob. He is stacked and handsome. He wore blue jeans, black boots, and a long black trench coat. He also wore dark sunglasses and a dark bandana. He gripped the microphone.

Listen Up, Democrats
Taking their Liberal stance in Hollywood is not bravery: it’s safe. Everyone takes the Liberal position in Hollywood. Are we in trouble today? You’re damn right. The media has brain-washed the general populous into believing the other side is automatically wrong or evil. We vote due to our values and belief systems. That’s true. However, being a good person is not who you vote for; it’s about what you do one on one. Are you the type of person who helps a friend or coworker or neighbor in need? If so, this makes you a good person. Voting Democrat does not automatically make you a great person.

Magic on Whisper Street. Content Warning.
The moon leered out at the children as they walked. Which children you ask? It’s Jack and Amy Kramer age 11; they are fraternal twins. They walk with purpose. The objective is to get candy. They lived on Whisper Street and that was a very special street. Halloween magic existed here. Since they were highly imaginative children, they could easily access this magic.

Hops
The Easter Bunny hopped down the bunny trail. He went from house to house leaving an Easter basket and a stuffed toy at each home. He came to a house unlike the rest. A storm cloud hung over her house. She lived in a purple house and there were all kinds of moans coming from inside the house. They were no doubt the tormented sounds of ghosts dwelling inside. Hops, the Easter Bunny trembled as he looked up at the creepy house. He knew a witch lived there and he knew it was haunted.

Why I Write. Content Warning.
Why do I write? There weren’t enough stories on page and screen that I liked, so I wrote my own. The first time I saw Bride of Chucky I was appalled because they ruined that character. It went against everything that series had been for years prior to 1998. None of the three previous films had any sex scenes. This one did. The other three made me give a shit about the protagonists. I did not give two hits about Jade and Jesse. Chucky was made to look like a goof instead of the foul mouthed and psychotic killer we all knew and loved. The point of this article was to answer the question: why do I write? I write the stories I want to see more of and written the way I want to see stories written.

He wasn't Santa. Content Warning.
He wore black instead of red and he had a gaunt face. His teeth were yellow and jagged. He spoke in a dialect not of this world. There was a lot of clicking of his forked tongue when he spoke. He handed little Judy Miller a shiny red box. She took it and watched as the creature walked out the front door. She stood there a moment or two looking at the package. She wanted to open it. The present was from Santa, or so she thought. She placed it under the tree and headed up to her bedroom. She curled up all nice and comfy in her bed. She fell asleep and entered a nightmare. She went downstairs to find her parents, Stacy and Jeff butchered beyond recognition. She also found her little brother Donny; he was dead as well. She woke up crying.
