Best Practices for Hand Hygiene:
Our hands are often the most exposed parts of our body on a daily basis and are prone to become a breeding ground for bacteria and germs. Especially for healthcare providers, sanitisation is the key to a healthy environment for everyone from fellow staff to patients. With the recent pandemic developments, many people are more cautious than ever and now value hand hygiene. However, washing your hands or using hand sanitiser may not be a guarantee to avoid being exposed to infections or bacteria. Follow these easy best practices to ensure the most effective hand hygiene in your facility.

Staying sane during the global turbulence part 2. . Top Story - November 2020.
There is no doubt that this year has been a wild ride for the collective. The themes of fear, division and uncertainty have dominated headlines and headspaces all over the globe, and for many it continues, hence why I decided to write the second part of my article “Staying sane during the global turbulence” published in March. Since then it increasingly feels like many issues that were for a long time swept under the rug , both individually and collectively, are coming to the surface to be dealt with. We are being triggered left and right, and are forced to acknowledge, to heal, to integrate, to let go of that which no longer serves us. To shed the old and welcome the new. Those who are into self-development and healing are well aware of this process, and having done certain amount of inner work, are somehow better prepared to handle the current climate. For others, it is a whole new territory and things can be terrifying. While I believe there to be a bigger picture and this chaos, albeit challenging being part of the transformational process for the planet and its inhabitants , I acknowledge the current need for extra support when it comes to mental and physical health. So let’s explore couple of additional tools to help us ride these waves.

Hyperacusis Daily Life modifications
People who don’t have hyperacusis don’t realize how many things in their daily lives have noise. From waking up to an alarm clock, to flushing the toilet, to running water, to using the microwave almost everything makes noise. For some people with severe hyperacusis, several if not all those things cause them pain. I have seen the topic of the problem with the noise involved with activities of daily living, come up many times in hyperacusis online groups. I have also spoken with various other people with severe hyperacusis who struggle with these things. Having basically grown up with severe hyperacusis, there are unfortunately many daily life activities that I am not able to do, and others I have had to greatly modify to make them quiet.

Mind Body Sync
At the age of twenty-five with a long story and the year being as complicated as it has for me as well as the rest of the world, we are all dealing with different things. Everyone has their different ways of increasing their value of life in these times through daily routines, rituals, hobbies, or ways of finding connection with the nature or environment they are in and being grateful even through complicated times and circumstances.
