Trump: What's He Planning?
Who would have thought the US would be facing another moustachioed dictator who looks alarmingly like Saddam? But there you go, folks, history has a way of repeating itself. Long accused of being a drug lord and giving the US the middle finger, Nicolas Maduro has been a thorn in the side of the US. The first Trump administration tried to replace him with a Venezuelan candidate more to their liking. However, for whatever reason, it didn't come off, and Maduro remained in power.

Flee to Russia!!
Imagine going to a country to live on a 3-month visa issued by Vlad "The Invader" Putin. Yes, that's right, folks, the Russian leader issued 3-month stay visas for people fleeing persecution as they see it. You would think who would feel persecuted in so-called liberal Western democracies?

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz: Friendly Rivalry.
Not since the days of Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe have two players been head and shoulders above their rivals. We are talking about Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. One an Italian and one a Spaniard. Alcaraz looks like what most people think a Spaniard should look like. In contrast, Sinner lives down the dark-haired Italian Al Pacino trope. Regardless of outward appearance, both men are respectful to each other. Unlike other angry, alpha-male rivalries in the world of sport or anywhere else, these two are combative on the court but humble and respectful towards each other after. This is a rare quality in both men in today's highly aggressive and fast- paced world. Both men are role models not only for their fans but for the world in general.

Ukrainian Refugee Wins Sumo Tournament.
When Russia invaded Ukraine, many Ukrainians fled. One Ukrainian fled to Japan and at 21 became a Sumo champion. Little did Danylo Yavhusishyn know that his path to Japan would take him to the heights of Sumo wrestling. At first, Sumo wrestling can seem a little odd. Two overweight men are grappling to get the other one out of the ring. Of course, that is to make light of this traditional style of Japanese wrestling as opposed to Western wrestling. Athletes need to eat a special diet and train to get to the size this combat sport requires.

Shabana Mahmood: Getting Tough on Migrants?
You may recall another article I wrote where the British Labour government was following Denmark's way of dealing with illegal migrants/immigrants. Mette Frederiksen, the Danish PM, was facing the same problem that Sir Keir Starmer is facing now. That is, right-wing parties were accusing the Danish government, the equivalent of the British Labour Party, of doing little or nothing to stop the flow of foreigners into Denmark. So what did she do? Ms. Frederiksen came down hard on migrants seeking asylum in Denmark. She enacted policies that deterred migrants from coming to Denmark. Deportations and other anti migrant policies got results in real time. This took the wind out of the sails of her political opponents.

YouTubers Highlight How Europe Has Fallen.
Lately, I have taken to watching videos of random people, so-called "YouTubers", walking around the major towns and cities of Europe. People like Charlie Veitch, the Dutch Travel Maniac, and Kurt Caz walk through dystopian places. Places that have long ago given up the ghost of investment. Where buildings are boarded up, businesses closed down, people sleep on the streets, people addicted to drugs like spice stand like zombies, foreigners of every stripe hang out, and people openly argue on the street.

Trump Pauses Tariffs.
President Trump waxed lyrical about wanting Americans to buy American goods. Trump, during his first term and 2.0 now, threatened everyone with tariffs. China, China, China, was and is a mantra for the Orange One. Trump probably sleep talks those words too. In Trump's mind, all the ills of the world are China's fault. If it rains or if Trump slips in the shower, President Xi masterminded it. Just like Trump's buddy Bibi Netanyahu blames Hamas for this and Hamas for that. These two guys really need to get a life and find a hobby.

Trump: BBC Doctored Speech.
One remembers when Trump lost the election to Joe Biden. Trump stood behind bulletproof screens and told his followers to walk down to the seat of government, and he would come with them. He said we must fight like hell when we get there. What followed was a storming of the seat of the government that looked to all intents and purposes like an insurrection. However, this comes with a caveat. Trump never said in his speech, "We'll fight like hell". It turns out that at the time, the BBC spliced together two excerpts from Trump's speech that made it look like he had said "We'll fight like hell"!

Wes Streeting: Rumours and More Rumours.
Wes Streeting is one of the bright young things in Sir Keir Starmer's cabinet. Wes Streeting, in his job as Health Secretary, has been seen as a Starmer loyalist. Always there by his boss's side through thick and thin. However, rumours that Mr. Streeting has been briefing against the prime minister abound. Speaking to Sky's Sophie Ridge, Mr. Streeting denied any accusations that he had been briefing others against Sir Keir.

Starmer Taking A Leaf From Mette Frederiksen's Book.
Denmark is the happiest country in the world. The country has a cosy reputation as the home of hygge and Lego. It is known for the idealistic fictional detective Sarah Lund and the wonderful life of fictional PM Birgitte Nyborg.

Musk: A Millionaire, A Billionaire, Now A Potential Trillionaire.
What can one say about Elon Musk that has not already been written? A billionaire of our time, one amongst many, but Musk's name stands out above all. The owner of the successful Tesla car company, owner of a satellite company, SpaceX, in which Musk one day wants to settle on Mars and even die there. Some have even wondered if he is a Martian, and he hasn't exactly denied it. We have seen Musk venture into politics. When he was briefly the Head of Doge, he ensured money wasn't wasted in government. On such things as promoting the LGBTQ agenda and worthless things that aggravate the right and many ordinary folk.
