Weight Loss
My weight has always been a problem for me. I was always the "fat" friend. My weight never affected the way I lived until I got to high school because I started a new school without any of my friends. During my freshman year I found my group of friends but again, I was still the "fat" friend. I was confident in myself but knew my weight held me back from my full potential. I wouldn't post full body pictures because I did not want people to see what I looked like. I also only ever wore leggings and baggy shirts to hide my stomach. I knew I wanted to lose weight but didn't know where to start. I didn't have money for the gym or to buy better foods. All of my friends would eat whatever they wanted and did not gain any weight. "Why can't I be like that?" I constantly thought to myself. Toward the end of my freshman year, I started to look into different fad diets but I was too picky of an eater to do any of them–then, I found the apple and carrots diet. It consisted of just those two things–for three days all I ate was apples and carrots and was drinking water to keep myself full because I was practically starving myself.

Antibacterial Essential Oils That Keep You Naturally Healthy
I'll be the first to admit that I used to sneer at ladies who sell essential oils in their spare time, but as years passed, I've learned that these potent little bottles do pack a powerful punch in the natural health world. Though I'm not advocating for any MLM company's wares, I'll admit that I've bought a fair amount of essential oils in recent years.

What Will Tomorrow Bring?
Yesterday's words were unkind, hurtful and terrifying which makes today look scary. It may seem as if the world is against you in many ways and that it is about to collapse at your feet, the world is a bitter place to live in when its negativity comes crashing down, causing nothing but pain to spread within you. Unfortunately we do not pick who gets what, or who deserves more, or even who will wake up the next morning with a simple smile on their face. This world is made of a million different concepts that are planned out ahead of us without us really knowing what tomorrow will bring, however what we do know and must accept is that the true challenge is who will be able to confront whatever it is that may come their way and not only win the battle but also win the war!

"Why're You Such a Picky Eater?"
One question I’m constantly asked is “Why are you such a picky eater?” We’re talking nearly every time I go out to eat with friends. Yes, they don’t mean it in a negative way and yes, it’s all light-hearted “banter” but let’s be honest now friends, I’m not a picky eater!

What is the Ketogenic Lifestyle?
Starting any new lifestyle diet can sometimes be pretty scary. The one that I find scares people the most is the KETOGENIC LIFESTYLE DIET. You may have heard all of the rage about it and people trying and having huge success with it. BUT my opening one-liner seems to get people's attention, and not in an “I NEED TO TRY THIS” way. More like, “YOU’RE CRAZY AND THERE’S NO WAY THIS WILL POSSIBLY WORK" way.

Gym Etiquette
Ever feel like you have to dodge certain people while you're at the gym? Am I the only one who actually goes to the gym to workout these days? I can't tell you how many times I've gotten to the gym in beast mode, pre-workout mix in effect, with only one hour to spare before having to get back to the drudgery of my mundane life and just as I'm about to get on the treadmill someone taps me on the shoulder. Chatty Patty, the vegan waif I met in yoga flow a few weeks back...yep, the one who kept trying to talk to me throughout the entire duration of yoga class, completely oblivious to the fact that one — we're in a freaking YOGA CLASS, and two — not the best place to carry on a conversation. But who am I to say?
