"Humor is what binds humans together and makes difficult times just a little less painful; Sometimes you can't help but laugh. "
The Weevil People
Growing up poor gave me a unique perspective on entertainment. One summer, the radio station hosted Tuesday night $1.50 carloads at the drive-in for anyone using their bumper sticker. So, mom, (queen of pranks and scare tactics), loaded the station wagon with bags of popcorn and coolers of tea, together with plastic tumblers from home.

Moving is NOT for OLD People - 5 Tips to Keep You Sane if You Must Move After the Age of 65
My next move is to the cemetery. I swear to God, I will never do this again. Aside from the death of a loved one, I cannot imagine anything more stressful than moving at the age of 73, with only friends to help who are in the same deteriorating physical condition as me.

Short stories.
Military service: Quite often you can hear, for example, interesting stories from people's lives - funny, short - about the army. For example, this thing. The man talks about his time in the army. During his watch at the checkpoint, an elderly couple approached him. The woman began to wonder where the tank unit was. The son would have served there, she said. The guard on duty tried to explain to the young man that there was no tank unit around. In response, the couple desperately tried to prove that their son would not cheat on them. The woman's last argument was the photo given to the person in debt. On it was a young "tankman" with a proud posture, bent sewer hatch at the waist, with a lid in his hands in front of him. You can imagine how the soldier on duty laughed. Such interesting stories from people's lives (funny, short), among the military sound very often.

On Dogs
I hate dogs. The big, hair shedding, slobbering, crotch nosing variety to the tiny yapping toys with sharp teeth, I hate them all. They sleep and defecate everywhere and when they are not doing that they are eating voraciously followed by throwing up on whatever expensive carpet or favorite item of clothing is nearest.

The Vomit Diaries
Like my siblings and my daughter, I am prone to travel sickness. I think my siblings have largely grown out of it, but I still get it. My daughter and I dosed up on travel sick pills on our recent trip on the Spirit of Tasmania (our first time on a ship) which did the trick for us. But it got me thinking about my vomit history.

Pointless Theatre Kid Anecdotes: Making Dust Fly
Behold! A new article series! Pointless Theatre Kid Anecdotes is very much what it says on the tin: stories from my dramatic escapades, theatrical and otherwise, which I share because I feel like it...and no one can stop me.

The Not-So-Easy Side Hustle
We all want it. The quick and easy ‘how I made 10,000 in 30 days’ side hustle. You see ads everywhere promising the unimaginable, making thousands of dollars with no time, money or effort. We know in our heart of hearts this is too good to be true, but yet we believe it. We believe that if we click on a post they will tell us the secret to becoming rich. My question is: if it were true, wouldn’t everyone be rich?
