I Rewatched All the Harry Potter Movies Yesterday
I was working the other day. I work from home so I often have the television on for background noise. Honestly, most days I just let Netflix run through Supernatural all day. But I was flipping through the channels and there was a Harry Potter marathon on.

'The Crucible'
The Crucible at The Connelly Theater is aptly put on by Bedlam Productions in association with Nora Ensemble. This Crucible is frenetic to say the least. Under wonderful direction by Eric Tucker, the play moves for the most part quite quickly and smoothly. The Crucible is oddly enough the most read play by the legendary playwright, Arthur Miller. I say oddly because Miller's Death of a Salesman was required reading in High School. Arthur Miller has had many great bodies of work; The Master Builder; All My Sons; The Ride Down Mount Morgan and many more that make him arguably the best American Playwright ever (Tennessee Williams, Sam Shepard and Eugene O'Neil are the others often mention along with Earnest Hemingway).

A Jester and a Clown
We had a lot of great films that has come out in the year of 2019. We had Avengers Endgame, John Wick 3, Yesterday, and so on. But between the big summer films that were dominating this year, there were two films I couldn't forget. One film is about a man who has a mental disorder who’s living in a terrible condition, and the other is about a poor soul who is abandoned and is alone in an isolated place for a long time. These two might sound the same, but the only similarity is the characters the two films mostly focus on. These two characters I'm going to talk about is Arthur Fleck and Spinel.

Why I’m a Podcast Person Instead of a Music Person
If I were asked to pick three things that define my life’s routine, three things that I thoroughly enjoy every day, I would have to say running, eating baby carrots, and listening to podcasts, probably in that order. All are things that I have been doing on a daily basis for at least two years; I’m a creature of habit, what can I say? I’ve been running my whole life, and I've been a vegetarian since college. I delight in a brisk seven miler followed by a veggie binge in front of an episode of The Office, which may make me sound weird enough without incorporating my last choice of life-defining property. Whenever I'm doing something on my own, whether it be driving to work, doing my laundry, grocery shopping, or yes, running through the streets of Buffalo, I am constantly listening to podcasts.

The 10 Commandments of Movie Theatre Etiquette
We're heading into the Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Years movie season and before 2019 is over your local cinema is going to be packed. There will be sequels to Frozen and Jumanji bringing in the family demographic. Other movie-goers will flock to see another Tom Hooper directed adaption of a hit broadway musical, a Tom Hanks starring Mr. Rogers biopic and a Rian Johnston directed Murder Mystery. To add to the craziness, a little film called Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is going to be bringing every person in the world to a movie theatre.

Is Animation Better Than Live-Action?
From animation to live-action . The year was 1994, and I was twelve years old when I saw Disney's The Lion King, I loved the animated version it was original; it was cute and funny. The story was well written and had the right message. The voice actors that got chosen for the film were amazing and fit the characters like a glove.

Equality: Are We Chasing a Unicorn?
Equality; the state of being equal, especially in status, rights or opportunities. It can be hard to put yourself in someone else’s shoes. Every individual has their own set of struggles as we try to do the best we can with our lives. As we get older, more struggles and obstacles become apparent after the ones we manage to overcome—but not everyone was put at the same starting position. Some were given a head start; they were born with a little extra status or wealth and while the security of their future is not guaranteed, if they play their cards right that head start will lead them on a path to success. Others were put at the back of the pack, unable to obtain the same opportunities as others merely through the circumstances of their birth. Perhaps their hard work will pay off later in life, perhaps they’ll get lucky, or maybe they’ll get left behind in the dust. We don’t know what the future holds for every individual, but surely we should be doing all that we can to ensure that everyone gets a fair shot in the beginning?
