Perfect Pineapple Upside Down Cake
My children grew up around a lot of church functions, dinners, and fellowships. This cake was one of my "go-to" recipes whenever I had to bring a dessert for a big crowd. Even though I was not the only one bringing a dessert, this was always the first to go.

Best Hominy Dish
Changing what you put into your diet can help you achieve a healthy lifestyle. Healing Through Food What changes make a difference in a total healthy lifestyle? Most would say diet, exercise, and a stress-free itinerary. These are some of the steps that begin the process (when you start to get some motivation about yourself to do them), but changing what you put into your diet, exercise, and itinerary is the big kicker. Just as everyone else, I began to research different sources for the best answers, which I do incorporate into my current regimen. There are many suggestions to be sought after, yet I know there is a deeper connection in selecting the right one that best fits. Some call it the cellular level, though I know it taps into a spiritual aspect, whether you want to believe it or not.

"Spiced Nuts"
The holidays are just around the corner. This family favorite always brought a warm smile to everyone in my family and get togethers! Sitting around the Christmas tree or fireplace munching on this treat with a cup of hot cider or glass of red wine, it just doesn't get any better than this. It's a great conversation starter and so easy to make. This tradition started when my oldest daughter was a toddler. We were having a Christmas fellowship at our church and I was called at the last minute to bring a little something to snack on during a Christmas movie that they were putting on for the kids. Well, they caught me off guard I had no popcorn, which was always my go to, or anything else because I hadn't even been to the store because I was busy with all the Christmas hubbub. So, I had about a pound of pecans, cinnamon, eggs and sugar so viola! A family tradition was born. Everyone loved it. Hope your family will too. You can double and even triple the recipe to suit your needs.

Recapturing Childhood Through Sopapillas
Some of my fondest childhood memories surround family birthdays spent at our local Poncho's restaurant. They are memories of light filtered through glass sun-catchers, and of over-sized sombreros perched above smiling faces. They memories of small children clutching piñatas carefully selected from its perch on the wall dividers throughout the restaurant; a piñata that inevitably hung from a bedroom ceiling until it fell to pieces. Above all, they are memories full of delicious Mexican food which included my personal favorite: fresh sopapillas with honey.

"Two Spam Recipes"
This recipe has been in my family for forty years. Family surrounded this dinner with iced tea and tireless talk at the end of the day. A hearty, filling meal with plenty of protein to help you push away from the table feeling more than satisfied.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice
I absolutely adore pumpkins! Pumpkin carving, pumpkin spice, pumpkin flavour, just everything pumpkin! 🎃 Now that it's October, officially autumn (or fall, if you are American), I am so Pumpkin ready... To be honest, I am all year round. I wait all year just for Starbucks' pumpkin spice latte to make its annual appearance.

How to Make White Chicken Chili in a Crock Pot
Only recently have I realized the awesomeness that comes with owning a crock pot, and as such, I've barely just begun to explore awesome easy crock pot recipes online. Over the months, I found great slow cooker soup recipes, good recipes involving slow cooked pork, and much, much more.

Curry in a Coffee Cup
So, the seasons have changed here in Colorado. It happened fast. One moment I was sitting in my car wishing it had air conditioning and the next moment I was glad the heater still worked. With the heat, I've noticed food has changed as well. The bright colors of summer with their abundance of rich greens and oranges is now fading to darker colors. The honeydew melons and cantaloupe are starting to spark my interest as I desire for the sugars that will yield warmth. I pop half of one in my smoothie in the morning and I'll share that concoction in another article. However, I want to enlighten you all to what has been a game-changer as of recent and I also want to provide you with a delicious easy curry recipe. Let's get into it.

Slow Cooked Low Carb Chicken Recipes. Top Story - September 2017.
A slow cooker, otherwise known as a Crock Pot, is basically an electrical cooking appliance that prepares food in lower temperatures rather than baking or frying. It can be one of the best appliances in your kitchen and can whip up amazing food — that can be healthy, too.

Passover Brisket
My grandmother has never been an amazing cook. She hated cooking and always took the easy way out. Microwave “baked” potatoes, instant mashed potatoes, seasoning packets of every variety, her cookies were made from boxed cake mix, and her chicken salad was made with store bought rotisserie chicken. The only two things Alice Meisel ever made from scratch was matzo ball soup and Passover dinner, specifically “The Best Passover Brisket.”
