'My Girl' By The Temptations Is My Unforgettable Song
My Girl was written in 1964, the year after I graduated from high school. I was working in New York to save money to go to college the next year. I was at the age of innocence and after watching American Bandstand I had learned to evaluate a song by its beat, the words and how easy it is to dance to. My Girl by the Temptations had all those characteristics, and it became my go-to song when I wanted to feel good. Whenever I heard the words in the song, I pretended I was the girl the group was singing about.

good and beauty comes with ugliness
High for Hours by J Cole High for Hours reminds me of my humble beginnings. I was born in the Philippine where it's blessed with tropical islands, amazing food and culture. Although with everything that has good and beauty within, comes with ugliness. That for the Philippines is the corruption, violence and poverty that they experience. Australia has open opportunities that aren't accessible or open to the people in the Philippines. Example the public health care service. Which entitles Australian citizens in free access to health care services without paying. In countries like the USA, Syria, Philippines etc. the public has to pay for the full amounts of the fee of their medications or hospital admission fees.

The Power of Rain
For me and probably for a lot of people, the sound of rain is the most soothing sound to hear; from the roar of water hitting the ground to all the “pings,” “plops,” “thumps,” sounds that drops of rain can make on their decent. The sounds of rain have become so treasured that recordings of the rain have been made to meet the market of rain loving souls. There is a calm peace to the sound of rain. Maybe it’s human instinct that is found of the sound of what our lives have revolved and still revolve around. Rain, the bringer of fresh water, magic to plants and humans around the world. And there is a magic to this weather pattern. It gives relief to the dry, the thirsty, the dirty. Rain leaves the world refreshed if only for a moment. Water reflects of surfaces, catching light and releasing it. Rain is enjoyed during and after it has fallen, whether in puddles to be splashed or water droplets waiting to be caught. Something so amazing and magical can hardly ever be recreated. So, at best the emotions behind it, that it carries, that it leaves behind, can be captured and made into something. And that something I have found in a song.

I can’t carry this anymore
The first time I heard this song, I was at work, doing my end of night standard procedures. Sometimes I like to listen to music because I know it will take me a while. I’m a manager at a pub. People look at me and see any other person and know nothing about me. The song is by Anson Seabra, the title “I cant carry this anymore”
