Taiwan: Is It Ready?
Taiwan has always been that rogue runaway island that gets under China's skin. The island of the Chinese Nationalists who fled the mainland when Mao and his Communists took over. Ever since then, China has regarded the island as a runaway province that must be brought back under China's boot.

Trump and Starmer: To Meet in Scotland.
Starmer and Trump have met a few times now. The bonhomie between them seems to be good-natured. Are the two leaders putting on a front because they have to work together? Is their relationship in private more tetchy? Or is there a genuine bromance there? Trump says he likes Starmer, and Starmer has said the same about Trump.

Raising The Pension Age?
With people living longer than our ancestors ever did, it has brought dividends. People 100 - 500 years ago died early. Life back then for the poor was grim and short. Possibly the upper crust lived longer due to the fact of a better diet. Nevertheless, it would be rare for any one of them to live as long as we do today. That said, historically, there were the odd exceptions. But that was more the exception than the rule. People were also, by and large, shorter. Especially, those at the bottom. Poor diet stunted growth and therefore, attracted more illnesses, leading to early death. Again, those at the top of the pile were often better and were healthier. They were often taller, too, but health care in those days was still primitive. So deaths and diseases were still around, and despite better health care and diet for the upper class, many of them still succumbed.

Sinner and Meloni: Breaking The Italian Sterotype?
For as long as I can remember, Italian and other Latin populations of Europe have either been shown as Al Pacino types, hot-blooded womanising types like Mateo off the UK's 'Benidorm', moustachioed plumbers shouting "Mamma Mia" like the Mario Bros, Dolmio ads that made Italians look South Asians, Mafia types, or running away or surrendering as in WW II. So those were the tropes that summed up Mediterranean people, but in this instance, Italians.

Musk and Corbyn: New Politics.
What do Elon Musk and Jeremy Corbyn have in common? Well, you would think nothing. In their views, they are opposed to one another in their view of how society should be. One is the ultimate capitalist billionaire business owner of SpaceX, Tesla, etc, who dipped his toe into politics. Who funded Donald Trump and helped him become POTUS? However, after working for DT, for DOGE, Trump and Musk fell out big time. Now the would-be Martian (maybe he is?) is founding a new political party, 'The America Party'. The motto of this new party is "Giving you your freedom back". Freedom from what? Freedom from the one-man band Trump is? Is the America Party just a vanity project from Musk? Just to overcome another vanity project, Captained by Donald John Trump?

Trump's Burdens: Netanyahu and Putin.. Content Warning.
When Trump was elected to office and before, he swore to end the Ukraine-Russia War and the Gaza-Israeli War. Let us not forget what he kept saying as he held Biden responsible, "On my watch, these wars would never have happened, never have happened". Really, Mr. Trump? Were you so drunk on your image that the very thought of you would have scared Brutal Bibi and Vlad the Invader to think twice before they did what they did? Did you think your relationship with these two men, who were politicians, when you were still making losses in business, was that good? You see things through the eyes of a businessman. You are always after that elusive deal. Okay, you've done some deals with the UK and India, which worked out. However, Mr. Trump, Brutal Bibi and Vlad the Invader are different kettles of fish.
