Classical Gas Bags
As a kid classical music was never pushed at home, the nearest we got was probably Mantovani or the sort of elevator music you would expect to hear at “Abigail’s Party”. When I got to secondary school the possibility of me ever appreciating any classical music was well and truly dashed to the ground.

A True Romantic
My favourite film is True Romance directed by Tony Scott and scripted by Quentin Tarantino. Tarantino then disowned the script for some reason. It was pre-Reservoir Dogs so that may have been something to do with it. Apologies for any mistakes or mis-spellings of names as I am trying to rely on my often faulty memory.

William Hope Hodgson
William Hope Hodgson is a writer who has been compared to Edgar Allen Poe, although I would veer away from that description for a lot of his stories. I have once more picked up on “The House On The Borderland” which is, in my opinion (and that of a lot of other people) a masterpiece of the unnatural supernatural in the realms of Clark Ashton-Smith, Arthur Machen and HP Lovecraft.

A Thousand To One
No this is not about betting (as you may have observed I do bet on horses and football), but about prioritising the good in our lives and giving as little purchase as possible to the not so good. I am starting this unsure if I can make six hundred words on it , but I would like to give this the permanence of a Vocal story because I believe, although this is completely just my opinion, that this situation affected everybody and I am certainly no exception to this.

The Sandman, The Sea Girl and The Dog
This is a follow on from The Sandman and The Sea Girl that you can read here. While it is best to read that before this both stories actually stand alone, but that gives some details on the inspiration behind the main characters in this.
