Why Designer Clothes Are so Expensive
Can a luxury brand really raise prices on a striped cotton shirt just because of the label on it? This type of question about why designer clothes are so expensive has been left unanswered in the fashion industry for decades. There are some pieces of designer clothing which have an understandably higher price tag, because the design is unique or the material is super rare. Designer clothes are so expensive for a variety of reasons, and understanding the fashion industry is the first step to getting to the bottom of it all.

What Is Normcore?. Top Story - November 2018.
Once upon a time, there were individuals who did not care about fashion trends and would wear anything that was comfy. Individuals who on their day off loved non-cool sneakers and non-trendy skinny jeans. These were individuals who did not care to know what hemline was out and what color was in. These were individuals who took the description of classic clothing (long-lasting, simple, and elegant) and removed the style and elegance from of the definition. These were individuals who unknowingly invented "Normcore."

Ways Clothing Became Toxic
Before we begin talking about all the ways clothing became toxic over the years, we have to define toxicity as it applies to this discussion. Something can be toxic by virtue of being unhealthy. It doesn't just apply to chemicals and poisons, although they certainly count. In addition to deficient practices in the textile industries, clothing has become toxic due to uncomfortable fits, potentially hazardous fabrics, and a desire to produce clothes at bottom-of-the-barrel costs. Clothing is toxic to the people who make it, the people who wear it, and the people who live around factories. First, you need to pinpoint the causes; then you have to work on finding safer alternatives with which to stock your wardrobe.

How to Dress Like a Goth (Without Looking Terrible). Top Story - November 2018.
It was only about ten or fifteen years ago that the goth scene was something to be afraid of. 10 Hardest Styles to Pull Off, Ranked
I was a fan of EGL clothing in college. EGL, for those who weren't in the visual kei scene of the early 2000s, stands for Elegant Gothic Lolita, and is one of the many different forms of Lolita fashion. It was a style that was all about looking as doll-like as possible, in that creepy Victorian way that most horror movies use.

How to Shop For Clothing (When You Have Body Dysmorphia)
I don't know what I look like. I literally have a very hard time figuring out what my body looks like. I don't know if I'm fat, thin, athletic, curvy, or twiggy. I'm told I look alright, maybe, but I don't know.

Color. Color. Color
For being one of the the most liberated generations, we sure are encircled in colorless surroundings (grey cars, monochrome neighborhoods, and steel cities). It saddens my soul a bit that people only feel safe expressing themselves in the virtual world but not in the real world out and about on the streets.
