What are some of the lesser known inspirational stories of nba players (5)?
Wade grew up in a terrible home, and even in the black world, where the overall standard of living is modest, the standard of living of Wade's childhood can only be described as deplorable. His parents divorced when Wade was a child, his mother was addicted to drugs and often ran away from home to avoid the police, and they often saw each other less than once a year, according to the book "Father First: Wade's Own Account." His father was often unemployed and drank heavily because he was struggling to make ends meet. So Wade grew up like an orphan. In this case, the Theowans adopted Wade, put him through school, and later married their daughter. Wade didn't appear to be a superstar in high school or even at Marquette University, so life for the couple was extremely difficult, with Wade admitting after the 2003 draft that he couldn't afford milk powder or diapers for his baby. As Wade became one of the NBA's biggest stars, the rift between the couple began to fray. Theo Vaughan suspects Wade is seeing another woman, and Wade thinks his wife is too nosy. In "Father First: Wade's Own Account," Wade repeatedly said that a large part of the reason for his falling out with his wife was that she was paranoid about someone else and that he believed she was embezzling money from his accounts. In the summer of 2007, she filed for divorce from Wade, citing in part the fact that he was sleeping around and giving her sexually transmitted diseases. The remark shocked the nation, because until then Wade had been regarded as a "model husband" by the media. Since then, one of Wade's business partners has also sued Wade, claiming that Wade borrowed a vacant mansion from him, but that Wade often held sex parties at the mansion. The turmoil in Wade's personal life was corroborated by a lawsuit from a business partner who found slimy condoms all over the floor during one of his visits. After years of court battles, Wade and Theo Vaughan finally divorced and Wade won custody of their sons. Theo Vaughan protested Wade's alimony by living on the streets in her native Chicago. Love me or hate me, it's one or the other, Dwyane Wade once said. All the time. Some people hate my game, my swagger; Hate my fadeaway shot, my desire to win; Hate that I'm a veteran, hate that I won a championship. Hate it, hate it with all your heart. However, there are many people who love me deeply, but for the same reason as those who hate me.

What are some of the lesser known inspirational stories of nba players (2)?
Ann Iverson, 15, was selected for the Mission High School girls' basketball team in 1975, but was accidentally told during a routine physical that she was pregnant. On June 7, Ann Iverson gave birth to Allen Ezell Iverson. Soon after Iverson was born, Ann took him back to Hartford to meet his father, but found that Bruton's violent, drug-filled environment was not conducive to his development, and Iverson and his mother left Bruton at age 3. Soon Ann met a new boyfriend, Michael Freeman, with whom she moved into a cheap house in Steward Gardens. The apartment was on the far east side of a small Virginia town called Newster, but it was even more hostile than Hartford, with drug deals and gunfights in broad daylight. Although Ann worked around the world to keep herself alive, the Iverson family's home was miserable. There was no electricity, no water, no food. The sewer pipes were constantly broken, flooding the house, and the two sisters wore overshoes all day. In 1978, Ann received a $3,818 settlement from the hospital to her mother, and later, Ann and Freeman had two more daughters, Brandi, born in 1979, and Liza, born in 1991. (Liza's illness was the reason Iverson decided to join the NBA in 1996.) In 1984, Allen. Iverson's mother, Allah, took him to the basketball court to practice. Iverson did not like basketball, but he saw football players playing basketball in the basketball court, and Iverson began to love basketball. [3] In 1988, Allen. Allen Iverson's adoptive father, Freeman, was fired after a car accident. He really wanted to support his family, but he was in and out of prison too often. In 1991, Freeman was caught with a drug overdose and sentenced to 22 months in prison, with another 23 months added for violating his parole. In 1990, Iverson entered Bayser High School and became the absolute core of the school's football and basketball teams, but that year Iverson's best friend Clark, who often encouraged and cared for Iverson, was murdered by his girlfriend. [2] In the summer of 1991, Iverson led the varsity football team to the semifinals of the U.S. Under-17 league. In 1992, Iverson led the school football team to a state championship, was named the Most Valuable Player of the Virginia Class AAA football tournament and made the All-NBA team. Three days later, Iverson was back on the court, scoring 37 points in his first high school game. 1992-93: He averaged 31.6 points, 8.7 rebounds and 9.2 assists per game. In 1993, Iverson led the Holy Land High School football team to the Virginia High School championship as quarterback, and he also led the high school basketball team to the same honor. On February 14 of that year, Iverson and three friends got into an argument with a group of white teenagers at the Beltwire bowling Alley, which quickly escalated into a fight involving more than 50 people. More than 20 people were seriously injured in the fight. The district court's verdict was swift: All four were sentenced to 15 years in prison, and Iverson was sentenced to five years for leading the trouble. In December 1993, after a tireless Supreme Court victory with the help of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Iverson served only four months in prison before being released on parole. Iverson graduated from Holy Land High School in 1994, Iverson attended the Nike training camp to win the MVP. Because Iverson's prison reputation left him with little room to choose a college out of high school, many elite schools didn't consider him. Iverson's mother, Anne, approached Georgetown coach John Thompson asking him to give Iverson a chance, and he agreed to let her join the Georgetown basketball team.
