Whispers of Summer

The golden sun climbs high and proud,

Through cotton skies and silken cloud,

Its warmth spills wide on fields of green,

Where laughter grows and hearts are seen.

A breeze that smells of salt and pine

Dances through the tangled vine,

While daisies sway with gentle grace,

Like children spinning in a race.

Rivers shimmer, cool and deep,

Where secrets of the forest sleep,

And dragonflies in glinting flight

Trace silver ribbons through the light.

Barefoot days on sandy shores,

With crashing waves and open doors,

Time drips slow like honeyed dew,

On skies brushed soft in every hue.

Night arrives with stars in bloom,

A velvet hush, a scented gloom,

Where crickets sing their lullaby,

Beneath the ever-watchful sky.

O summer, fleeting, bold, and bright,

You fill our days with gold and light—

And in your arms, so wild and free,

We find what it means to truly be.
