Attentionless

A Poem

You should be picky with your time,

Each and every time,

As though your life were on the line,

And every distraction was a warning sign.

You’re allowed to do whatever you want,

Spending hours however you can flaunt,

But this is a choice for you to make,

Not for companies to take.

Be choosey and selfish with your days,

Because in the end it’s your mind that pays,

For time sunk, lost, and wasted,

On “content” copied and pasted.

There’s nothing wrong with a game of two,

Or a couple of shows that entertain you,

But content is fast food for the mind,

A brainrot veneer with nothing more behind.

Good money is made from your bad choices,

Growing deaf to your needs and crying voices,

With nothing worthwhile to share,

Since nothing they do is done with care.

Stop selling your will like a slave,

For a taste of the dope you crave,

Instead witness with intention,

And reclaim back your attention.
