This is for the Vocal "Sensational" poetry challenge

The prompt is:

Write a poem inspired by the five senses.

The idea for this came to me on my walk this morning. It is free form although it has a structure, but I always feel a little lazy when I write things like this.

The music is "I'll Take Care Of You" by Gil Scott-Heron

Me taking care of Tom the cat with white socks at Mariann's suggestion.

I hope you enjoy it and take something from it.

Good advice for your fellow humans and a great take on the challenge. I can relate to feeling a little lazy about writing in free form, but I think there are instances where it lets the impact of the words carry the weight of the poem. This is one of those instances. Well done.
