Torn

In a Haze, Trying to Move Both Ways

Torn in the middle

Want both to thrive

Doing my best

To keep them alive

I'm holding my hand out

But it's a difficult split

Can only do so much here and there

Until I get bit

In the butt by confusion

And holding ones close

I don't want to let go

And I know I can't coast

And be in two places

Every decision’s a choice

Trying to divvy out the attention

Before I completely lose my voice

The world keeps on spinning

It doesn't stop for anyone

The aftermath occurs

Final decisions are made

And what you are left with

Is a mixture of hope with some pain
