I Had a Stroke
On Sunday, June 23 at 11:04 AM, I walked into the toddler room at my church. At 11:05 AM, I began to feel the effects. My wife was outside of the room on the playground, trying to dry up some of the water on the playground. I reached for the paper towels by the sink in the nursery in order to assist. I immediately felt a little "off." Something wasn't quite right. I made it to the playground and began wiping out the sinks of the playground kitchen, and my hand felt weak and unresponsive. I remember telling my wife, "My hand wasn't working right."

Go Beyond Fitness to Lose Weight
"You can't outrun a bad diet." That is one of many sayings that has become a mantra in response to questions on how to lose weight, and yet many people continue to struggle with finding a way to lose weight successfully. The general answer for the rather generic question is that you must eat less and move more in order to shed the pounds, but there are more specific methods that can help. Breaking things down, first there is the move more (fitness), then there is the eat less, and finally, for some there are medical options to help in order to reach the final end goal of reaching a healthy body mass

The Importance of Straight Teeth for Your Health
Even the most random smile makes us happy. Why is that? Well, in fact these random smiles aren’t exactly accidental. There’s always a reason for someone smiling at you. It may be because they like you or the way you act, or it may be simply because they like your vibe. Nonetheless, it’s always something positive and that’s why smiles are always complimentary. Start from yourself and think about why and when you smile at strangers. It’s always in good spirit, isn’t it? Many companies in Australia use a work strategy that involves smiling as a way of motivating employees and keeping a positive work atmosphere, and it gives actual results. Since smiles are such powerful tools to making people happy, we should do our best to give and receive as many as we can. This is why we should invest in the health and beauty of our teeth.

The Effect of Chewing Gum on the Body
Before it looked different. In ancient times, people used completely different materials that imitated chewing gum. It was tobacco for the first Americans, tar for the ancient Greeks, frozen larch juice for the Siberian peoples, and rubber for the Mayan tribes. Modern chewing gum appeared in 1848. Today it is impossible to imagine our life without it.

Cromolyn Sodium for Mast Cell Activation Syndrome
Cromolyn sodium oral (brand name Gastrocrom, but I’ll just refer to it as “cromolyn” for this article) is used to treat mast cell activation diseases, allergies, and asthma by reducing the release of mast cell mediators. It comes in other forms and can even be purchased as an over-the-counter nasal spray, but I’ll be discussing the oral suspension. It is classified as a mast cell stabilizer, although according to Dr. Theoharides, a pioneer in the study of mast cells and their role in inflammatory illnesses, this is a misclassification, as cromolyn does not inhibit the release of cytokines. Through an unknown mechanism, it inhibits the release of histamine and prostaglandin. People with mast cell activation disease can suffer from a number of symptoms due to being overwhelmed by mast cell mediators like histamine and prostaglandin, and cromolyn can provide relief. For some people, the relief is significant.

Road to Recovery
I worked a full-time job and had three kids. I started to feel worn down more. Just tired and then the headaches came. It took me out of work. There was no participating in activities. Laying in the dark on my bed was all I could do. Face twisted in pain or asleep from three extra-strength Tylenol. It went on like that for months.

Difference Between 'Recovering' and 'Recuperating'
Some people use the word "recovering" and the word "recuperating" incorrectly. The two words are often used interchangeably when they pertain to someone's health. However, there is a big difference between the meanings of those two words, even though their meanings are related.

Summer is here and the thing that I look forward to the most during summer is taking a much needed vacation. While I love taking time off to rest, unplug and recharge, I know that this means putting in a little extra work in the weeks before a vacation so that I can truly enjoy my time off.

What Is Stem Cell Therapy and How Does It Work?
Stem cell therapy has been in the news often in recent years. From its entry into the mainstream, with George W. Bush’s adoption of a partial funding approach in 2001, stem cell research has become a hotly-debated topic that has grown on the minds of every day Americans for years. Often, however, the actual use, case and benefits of stem cell therapy are ignored or downplayed in favor of a more theoretical approach in discussion.

Autism: Early Signs, Diagnosis, and Treatment with Medical Marijuana
It is not a single disorder, but a range of conditions that can challenge a normal life. Researchers believe that autism is caused by many genetic and environmental factors. The exact impact of each of these factors is hard to pinpoint, because autism is a wide spectrum of disorders, where each person lives with his or her own challenges and strengths. This also determines the way they learn, handle life's problems, and even think. These large variations also explain why some people are severely challenged and require intense support from family members, while others can live independently despite facing some minor challenges.
