It was all in my head
Date: 8/24/2020 In the store what do you grab when you only are thinking go I was all in my head when I went to grab some art supplies. I got there and was almost nearly run over by the lady who wanted to make wreathes a little more than I wanted to paint. Still full from by egg and beef burrito, I guess I had enough to let her pass through, before I yelled 'I'm sure it will be in there if you still slow down'. I get out and wonder, what's on sell, what's cheap, what can I get for under $100.00. I make my entrance in. Like clockwork, I waive 'Hi' at the checkout lady, see you in a minute.

My Free Virtual Art Gallery
Hey my friends! I hope you are doing well. Before and during the pandemic, I have done lots of fun and creative things to keep my mind and body occupied. One of the creative activities I have done was visual arts. Visual art has always been a way for me to freely express my thoughts, emotions and personality. I am always open to trying new styles and forms of arts and crafts, but I have specific favourites that I practice more than others such as photography, painting, sketching/doodling, rug hooking, diamond painting and knitting. I have been doing complex types of crafts since I was thirteen and then became interested in photography as an adult. Since I have been eager to show all of my Vocal friends the different art pieces I have made, I decided to have a free permanent virtual art gallery. I will be showing you some of my favourite art pieces and photographs I have made and hope you like some of them!

Crocheting, not just for Grannies
When you think of crocheting what’s the first thought that pops into your mind? A sweet old lady, in her rocking chair with a colorful ball of yarn, crochet hook, and Calico cat by her side? Or maybe a group of church ladies sitting in a circle, with their glasses pushed down to the tip of their noses, gossiping, while creating prayer shawls? While these stereotypes may be what you think of when you hear the word crochet the truth is crocheting is done by a much larger group of people than you can imagine.

Lockdown Crafts - The Sequel
Following on from 'Lockdown Crafts', I wanted to share some other things that I have been doing. Looking back on that, I have done something completely different. There have been no further woodwork projects or sewing projects. There have, however, been a couple of knitting projects.

Things I've Learned from Sewing
A lot of people have taken up new hobbies since we've been in quarantine, and I'm no exception. I've always been a crafty sort of person--in my 26 years on this earth, I've dabbled in crochet, knitting, embroidery, quilting, sewing, making those weird square plastic bracelets out of string--you name it, I've tried it.
