When I was younger (or wee, as I would say, as a Scot), I always loved the song Letter From America by The Proclaimers, taken from their debut album, This is the Story, in 1987. It sounded like a poignant song about someone who had emigrated from Scotland to Canada. To the casual listener, I guess that’s a fair estimation.
