Six Stories My Mother Gave Me
I have always loved books, and I give my wonderful mother full credit for encouraging and indulging that love when I was growing up. She started by reading to me, and when I was older we'd stand in front of our copious library and she'd pull her favourites from the shelf and pile them up in my arms for me to read in my own time. She never patronised me by fobbing me off with teen lit (I could find that for myself at school), and I really love her for that. We still talk and discuss and disagree about books today! These are some of the stories she either read to me or gave to me thinking that I might find them interesting.

Back in Black: 10 Actors Who Could Play Penguin in 'The Batman'
DC Comics fans have been waiting with baited breath for any kind of news to come out Matt Reeves' upcoming project The Batman, yet it looks like most of its production is going to be kept under wraps. It seems like we see a different news story each week about Ben Affleck not being in the movie, or Reeves casting for a younger Batman, but the truth is we just don't know what is happening behind the scenes. What we do seem to know for a fact is that The Dark Knight's infamous foe The Penguin is going to be the main antagonist of the movie, and with such a quirky character being the villain, you need the right kind of actor to play him. I believe I have a few likely candidates, and I hope you agree!

Top Comic Reads from a Comic Amateur
I have been reading comics almost religiously for a month now. Compared to my 19 years of life, one month seems minuscule, and it is, but the last 31 days have provided me with 31 opportunities to bury myself in illustration and just get lost for a while.

Ten of the Best Romance Manga to Date
Ever since I can remember, I always loved to read. I could escape into a fantasy world or another reality where I could escape my own. I had no knowledge of the great expansive manga collections out there until I was introduced to the art form in middle school where I quickly became addicted. I have always been a sucker for a good romance, so I quickly found that my favorite genre of manga was, and still is, the shoujo, rom-com genre. Here is a list of what I believe to be some the greatest romance manga out there.

Another 10 Properties Marvel Can Turn into Great Franchises
Back on July 4, I submitted a list of what I believed to be the top ten Marvel properties that Marvel Studios could turn into successful franchises. Since that was my most successful article, I decided to make a sequel to it. Now, like most sequels, this article was not asked for, nor was it necessarily wanted, and it probably won’t be as good as the original article, but I’m making it anyway. This time, I’ve included some characters associated with the Fantastic Four and X-Men, but like last time, I didn’t add them specifically to the list, given the inevitability that we’ll see them enter the MCU as new franchises. And with that, I present you with number 10:

The Origin of the Green Lantern: Jessica Cruz
Jessica Cruz is the most recent Green Lantern of Earth, making there a total of 6 human Green Lanterns that protect Earth. That is way too many Green Lanterns to protect one planet, but I digress because Jessica is actually a very interesting character that I think many people will be able to relate to. Well... I don't know how many people will relate to her origin story.

'Avengers: Infinity War' Things Missed (Spoilers!)
Avengers: Infinity War is the 19th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the third installment of the Avengers saga. Classically, the films in this universe have been filled with Easter eggs that link to the comics, the other films in the franchise, and life outside of the films. For example, at the start of Infinity War, the “IO” in the Marvel Studios logo has been changed to a ten to mark the tenth year of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the first Iron Man being released on the 2nd of May, 2008.

10 of the Worst Superhero Movie Visual Effects Ever
Everyone loves superhero movies these days. Marvel cranks out at least five every year, with DC desperately trying to catch up by releasing even more. Stories from comic books are experiencing the most cinematic success in history. However, that does not mean all of these movies are home runs. A lot of them swing for the fences and fall way short of expectations.

Comcast Should Keep Disney From Buying Fox
Hallelujahs were called when news hit that Disney would buy Twentieth Century Fox. Just knowing that the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be complete led fanboys to rejoice. Disney also expressed their excitement for the other franchises Fox had. Though the merger wouldn't be finalized until another year, everyone could smell the roses and green grass.

Film Review: '211' Is One of Nicolas Cage's Least Inspiring Films of 2018
Nicolas Cage keeps heading on a downward spiral— cranking out mediocre indie B-straight-to-DVD and VOD films no less than a span of five movies at a time in five months just to pay the bills. They keep going under the radar and are not films audiences are interested in viewing these days. It’s such a travesty because he is a very talented actor, but he just hasn’t been cast in the right film role that really captivates audiences.
