Laugh Until It Hurts: A Guide To 15 Dark Comedies To Brighten Up Your Winter
It's official. Halloween is over, and everybody's gearing up for the next big yearly bashes (or hurdles, depending on your levels of stress, cynicism, and holiday spirit). We have Bad Santa 2 on the horizon for 2017, and this year has been an extra-twisted one in and of itself for so many reasons... like the wave of worldwide clown crimes and sightings. We'll get back to that in a little bit, kids!

Top Of The Flops: 2016's Biggest Box Office Blunders!
Continuing the misery and woe of 2016, let's look at the biggest commercial failure films of the year to cheer ourselves up this festive season. While the likes of #CivilWar and #BatmanvSuperman flew off with the big bucks, some films took a hit from kryptonite and languished in modest monetary returns. Just in time for Thanksgiving, Forbes has posted the list of "Hollywood's Biggest Turkeys of 2016."

Must Watch Medieval and Roman Era Themed T.V. Series
There is a lot of interest for the medieval and historical periods. I myself am fascinated with it and do my best to learn what I can about it. That's how I came across all the amazing series you will read about in this article. That period was filled with violence, hierarchies, and marital drama, which are portrayed in these series as mature content. If you are a history buff like me, you have to watch these series, but keep in mind that they are not 100% historically accurate, some of the ones I will mention are completely based on fiction. Let's get to it.

6 Marvel Monsters to Inspire You for Halloween
If you have the same issue, then this is the post for you. Marvel has many heroes, but few are as overlooked as the Legion Of Monsters (apart from Flatman and the other Great Lakes Avengers). Skipping over Satana (skimpy outfits aren't my style; they make me look fat) and Ghost Rider (because setting my head on fire for Halloween might be a little drastic), let's start with the Living Mummy and see if we can't find some inspiration from these classic costume ideas.

The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy... Ranking the Movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
With Marvel's Phase 2 ending this summer with Ant-Man, it seemed appropriate to add my 2-cents to this ongoing conversation. Everyone is going to have their opinions and rankings when it comes to the movies in Marvel's Cinematic Universe. In fact, many of you have posted your very own version of this article. But this is going to be a little different. Friend and fellow Movie Pilot contributor, Derrick Weston and I have a plan to put our own respective rankings out and, much like the Fantasy Team Contest, compare our rankings and then let you participate in the conversation as well. So, be on the look out for all that.

Ranking the Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies: Take 2
Recently, @derricklweston and I have been podcasting about the MCU over at The Gospel According to Marvel, and through each episode we've keep bringing up how we need to update our ranking of the MCU movies (particularly the newest ones to come out). So, here I am, to share my thoughts; I want to read your comments and rebuttal, as I rank the current MCU. Some of these have stayed in their original place while others have been rearranged since rewatching. Remember, I base these ratings subjectively as movies (and not based on their comic book adherence).

"Cat Got Your Tongue?" and 9 Other Idiom Origins
Being a huge movie fan, I know there have been many idioms in movies that have slipped by me without much notice. And with approximately 25,000 idioms in the English language, that's a lot of non-literal words being said. So, while many of us may understand the gist of these phrases (more or less), their historical backgrounds may come as a surprise to you. My goal is to look at some of the more common idioms used in movies and take a look at their historical origins.

Top 10 Rom-Com Anime to Get You Hooked
I first discovered the world of anime in middle school when I stayed over at a friend's house and she and I decided to start something called Ouran High School Host Club. That was it. I was hooked. I still remember us binge-watching it and crying because we were laughing so hard while watching the anime. Since then I haven't stopped watching and my world of anime has grown much bigger.
