Such Is Life
My father. I don't know him. Admittedly, I don't even think about it. It's not like he was there and left. He never existed. I've heard all kinds of stories about him and, as a kid, I believed them. That is, until I watched TV and realized exactly how crazy my mom was. I was about nine when I was watching some old show on TV with my grandpa. I pointed to the screen at the guy Mom said was my dad. I was proudly imitating the guy, mimicking all his moves. By the time I paused long enough to see Grandpa's face, the look of disapproval was apparent. I froze dead in my tracks and my eyes started to well up. His eyes did too.

Such Is Life
Ah! Finally, some peace and relaxation! The inside of the car is one of the only places in all of Kingston I feel calm. Kingston isn’t exactly known for conventional thinking. The most unconventional place in town is Waterman’s General Store and the locals are incredibly loyal to the Watermans. Here, Waterman’s is the premier store in town and was even able to run Walmart out of town. Seriously!

My first computer
Being from an Indian middle class family, I realized at a very young age that I always had an innate fascination with computers. I specifically remember one incident from my 2nd standard (year 2002) when my father was posted in a far off place as a part of his service in Indian Air Force. My mother asked me to write a letter to father in which after exchanging some regular pleasantries I immediately jumped to the part of demanding a computer. It took 4 years for this demand to materialize and I still remember the feeling of butterflies in my stomach when my father finally went to buy a computer. My first computer was an assembled one with modest 256 MB RAM and 80 GB hard disk. While the computer was being set up by an engineer I was unable to contain my excitement and was ready to pounce on my PC at the slightest opening to do so. But disappointment took over me when after assembling & setting it up the engineer has to take away the mouse to test it on some other device. But the curiosity got the better of me as I just saw it as a challenge and learned to operate it by pressing every key from the keyboard and few commands that we had learnt in school. This first interaction later blossomed into an unspoken but caring relationship between us. I remember the days when I got really worried when my PC got overheated due to continuously running games. So the bottom line is : I developed a very strong and emotional connection with my computer and no one told me it was weird to do so.

Such Is Life: Episode I By Dwan L. Hearn I knew better! Dammit, I knew better. The moment I got up this morning I felt it - Today was going to suck. THE moment I woke up this morning I knew it was going to be a bad day. At 5 o'clock this morning, my alarm went off and I jammed my finger hitting the snooze button. It was only after this that I realized that it was the alarm on my phone that was going off NEXT to my alarm clock. It didn't make any sense for my alarm clock to be going off anyway. I rarely use it. But you got to give me a break. I was literally awake for, like, 1.8 seconds. I was still trying to process the dream I had. I was on an island attempting to repair a boat so I could sail away from the big storm that was about to start. I know. Doesn't make sense to me either. Why would I be fixing a boat, on an island, to get away from a storm? I'm still going to get rained on and it'd just fill the boat. I know... weird.

Frank Reynold's Funniest Quotes
For this list, I've decided not to give any context and just tell you guys what I think are the funniest quotes from It's Always Sunny's Favorite business man, Frank Reynolds. I know that there's so many more lines and there's just way too many episodes to choose from, but this is why I've decided to do an additional list soon. These quotes are from Season 2 when he first appears to Season 10. I may have skipped a few seasons, but this was a quick one, but do enjoy and even go watch a few epsisodes. I’d also like to add that some of these quotes are a bit longer, but I wanted to leave them as non-contextual as I possibly could. Which is why some of these may some really random and that’s just cause I’m trying to prompt you readers to go watch some of the episodes. Also, if you’ve made it this far, you don’t need to keep reading, but what sucks about this is that I’ve got to write up to 600 words, let’s turn that 600 into a six hundred. Yeah, that’s smarter. So anyways, just skip all this, you don’t need it. Go read some random Frank quotes. Not this boring thing where for some reason you keep reading. Go! Now! To the list! Geez, how many times do I have to emphasize for you to skip all these words and just go straight to list below with the funny gifs. Alright, I guess I’m done. Also, leave a tip if you thought it was funny. If you don’t, at least leave me a like if you’ve gotten this far, I’d actually really appreciate it. See, I need the money, and as you can see, I’ve sunk pretty low. So if you’ve gotten a Starbucks today, do leave at least a dollar tip. It’d make my day, and I’d be a dollar richer. Stay safe everyone from COVID, and get that vaccine already. Geez, what are you waiting for? A personalized note just for you? Well here it is, go get it. Ok now I’m really done, don’t forget to skip the part at the bottom too.

Pirate Points and Dashed Dreams
Does it feel sometimes like you're just sailing through life? You know that restless urge to do something, whatever it is, just so that you don't have that all at sea feeling in your gut? There is constantly so much hullabaloo around, whether it is the phones, the coworkers, the projects, the distractions, my mind all at sea. No matter how much you research what it means to meditate, to make your life shipshape, it seems like life just pushes straight past you and leads in a different direction. Like a broken compass. This work is essential. It is the mast that holds up my sail, that will get me to where I need to be. But you are by and large feeling like you're stuck in high and dry, wanting to stop and breath in the salty air, to paddle in the untame sea. Yet what happens? The shrieking eels come all too quickly and you become a rat trying to desert a sinking ship.

The Essential Playlist for Fans Experiencing "Schitt's Creek" Withdrawal
My dear readers. I need you all to take a deep breath and say this with me: Schitt's Creek is over. I know that was hard, but it's important to speak those words into the universe so that the healing can begin. When the Levy family (Eugene, Dan and oft-overlooked Uncle Fred) announced that their little Canadian TV series of pure perfection and light would end after its sixth season, we all fell into our own (hopefully) metaphorical pits of despair. As of this writing, it's been two days shy of a full year since the CBC and POP Channel aired that masterful gut-punch of a series finale. We attended the Greatest Wedding in the History of Ever, checked out of the RoseBud Motel and bid adieu to Johnny, Moira, Alexis and David (aka our BFFs). Never again will we grab a smoothie at Cafe Tropical or pick up a toilet plunger at Rose Apothecary or swing by Bob's Garage for a tune-up.

10 Failed Sitcoms Starring Well-Known Comedians
A hit sitcom can turn a comedian or actor's career around in a second, no matter what stage of their career it arrives. Comedians from Ricky Gervais to Jerry Seinfeld to Ray Romano had their careers elevated by leading sitcoms that were rating successes and awards favourites. Comedians crave a hit sitcom as having the opposite can lead to embarrassment, a career downturn or the show simply being forgotten. The following 10 entries on this list are examples of established comedians trying their hand at the TV sitcom only for their efforts to wind up in failure.

But What About the Donkey Children?
*This article was first published on The Mary Sue Feb. 22, 2018. I certify that I am the original author* The movie is over, the credits are playing, and there’s happiness in the air (unless you’re watching something created by the Tear Farmers of Pixar), but you’re just sitting there, your mind fixated on a single detail in an otherwise heartwarming animated treasure. For example, listening to the song “Cruella de Vil” from 101 Dalmatians, I was suddenly slammed with the realization that she stole puppies to make coats out of them, but … it never said whether she owned any factories or anything. Was she literally going to kill them, tan the puppy hides, and stitch the coat together, all alone, by hand?
