The only thing Daleks will be exterminating this holiday season is the turkey or ham! They’ll probably overcook it, but the Doctor always has a backup plan for you. Unfortunately, your favorite British alien probably won’t be in attendance at your holiday dinner. However, you can still feel the Doctor’s presence with some cool geeky Doctor Who products. The only way it could be any better was if the Doctor Who Christmas Special got swapped for a Thanksgiving special. But unlikely, given the British don't celebrate Thanksgiving.

History of Movie Publicity Stunts
The biggest publicity stunt in movie history was probably Mike Todd's million-dollar send-off for Around the World in Eighty Days. That would be $8,700,000 adjusted for inflation today. The 1956 film was adapted from the novel of the same name by Jules Verne. As a technicolor action adventure comedy, it follows the journey of Phileas Fogg, a Victorian Englishman who bets he can circumnavigate the world in 80 days with the new steamships and railways. To celebrate the production and release of the book turned movie, Mike Todd hired the old Madison Square champagne supper for 18,000, offering prominently among other hors d'oeuvres, his wife Elizabeth Taylor on a pink elephant.

Meet the Legends of Tomorrow
It’s arguable that Marvel’s superheroes are leading the way in terms of summer blockbusters, but DC Comics are largely winning the battle for audiences on live action TV. Since Superman (and his various friends and villains) is currently on the slate for the DC movie schedule, DC was likely looking for a different set of characters to occupy its TV universe. Thanks to the work of super producer Greg Berlanti, who’s managed to transform his revisionist take on Green Arrow into an entire TV based DC universe affectionately known by fans as the Arrowverse. Guided by the steady hands of Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns, the Arrowverse has become one of the most comprehensive TV comic universes ever created. What first started as a gritty reboot of Green Arrow has now become a sprawling epic told across three TV shows all airing on the CW. The first obviously being Arrow and the second series was The Flash. The newest and most recent addition to the ever growing Arrowverse is Legends of Tomorrow. Best Worst Spoof Movies
Spoof movies used to feature some of the best parody and satire to ever come out of Hollywood. The likes of Airplane and Young Frankenstein were some of the funniest comedies of their respective eras. Practically every genre Mel Brooks chose to parody turned into comedic gold. But in recent years the spoof movie has fallen from its previous cultural height. Somewhere along the line, people seemed to forget that making a movie parody didn’t mean copying its every plot point and making sophomoric jokes that could barely pass muster on a middle school playground. But somehow, terrible comedy writers took all of the wrong lessons from the masters of the spoof movie. In a way, the modern spoof movie is such an exquisite form of anti-comedy that their almost kind of hilarious in how unfunny they manage to be.
