'Inside Out' is an entertaining Pixar film about how the mind works.

Have you ever wondered what is going on in somebody’s head?

Released to theaters in 2015, Inside Out is an animated Pixar film. Riley unexpectedly moves away with her parents. Her emotions - Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger - have a difficult time trying to handle this big change. After an incident, Joy and Sadness have to find their way back to headquarters to keep Riley happy.

Inside Out is the best representation that I have ever seen regarding the depiction of emotions. Ever since I saw the first trailer I was so excited to see this film the day I saw it in theaters. It is a creative film. Not only does it address the importance of being open with how you feel, Inside Out unfolds that it is okay to be sad.

Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger made Inside Out entertaining. Their personalities are relatable. Pixar designed a creative way for the emotions to associate with Riley. The way they interact with each other is important. Now I can’t help but think what my own emotions are doing in any given circumstance.

Voice talents for Inside Out were spectacular. Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Bill Hader, Mindy Kaling, and Lewis Black delivered the best lines. Other credits to include are Richard Kind, Kaitlyn Dias, Diane Lane, Kyle McLachlin, and many other talents to contribute as emotions or parts of the mind.

Insisting that Riley should always be happy, Joy conflicts the other emotions on their duties. At times her actions were not helpful to situations, and I didn’t like the way she excluded Sadness. In a way, Joy reminds me of myself. As much as I like to be a positive person I tend to avoid my emotions. Inside Out taught me that it is okay to feel sad, angry, or afraid.

While Joy and Sadness are venturing back to the console, the subplot with Anger, Disgust, and Fear influences viewers on how to be open with their emotions. Not knowing how to be happy, they make Riley feel conflicted about the move.

In the week before I saw Inside Out in theaters I was set to go on my own vacation to San Fransisco. Pixar does its research. The backgrounds and scenery of popular areas in San Fransisco are designed very well. Aside from the scenery, character designs are well crafted. Pixar has grown over the years. The animation is terrific.

Pixar had a challenge for Inside Out. Since nobody is sure what the inside of the mind looks like, The creation of the neverending mazes of long-term memories, personality islands, or even a deep abyss where memories are forgotten, Pixar went above and beyond. The memory orbs were a creative element to show how the mind stores memories.

My favorite sequence was how dreams are depicted. I have watched this scene countless times because it always makes me laugh. I love to learn about dreams. Inside Out is a great movie, in general, to analyze psychologically. Riley’s journey reflects her inward battle with her emotions.

Inside Out is hilarious. It is a tearjerker. Most importantly, Inside Out is a film that makes you think. Pete Docter created a film for all young audiences about the world of emotions. He spent countless hours thinking up ideas and making decisions about what the leave out. Best of all, he sent out a message to never hide the emotions that you feel.

Kids of all ages should watch Inside Out. It is a fun story. This movie is filled with surprises. Have a laugh, enjoy the adventure, and talk about your emotions.
