There's Plenty of Fish in the Sea
I identify as an Aquarius. Am I an Aquarius? No. Technically, I'm a Pisces, but that has never felt quite right. Astrology has always been a subject that I was medium interested in. I think we all like to look at things like star signs and personality tests and see how the results do or do not fit our perceptions of ourselves. The fun of it is that there is usually something there that we can see in ourselves, and I think that’s the reason I have always felt so disconnected from astrology. I never sat down and read anything about a Pisces and thought ‘wow, that’s so true’ or ‘that applies to me’, which essentially, took all the fun out of it.

I am a fish. I swim, and the pool I swim in is dark and warm. Waters rush, my mother heaves, and I am beached. Thrashing and bloodied they haul me to land. A violence so contrary to my nature. You Need A Virgo In Your Life
"Just like a Virgo" when I hear people say that I don't know if I should cringe with disgust or smile with pride. I guess it depends on who the messenger. I call being born in September the "sweet spot" where Summer is coming to an end and where fall begins. It has a feeling of warmth, leaves, and hot chocolate. If I told you that being a Virgo is the best sign on the astrological chart, would you believe me? Without the Virgo, you wouldn't have amazing people like Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Kobe Bryant, Idris Elba, Nick Jonas, Keke Palmer, Zendaya Keanu Reeves, to name a few. These eclectic human beings have made a significant impact in the world of entertainment. I am lucky to be in a class full of hard-working people. So, it saddens me when I see threads on Twitter listing Virgo as the worst sign to date. I'm not here to highlight the negatives like people-pleasing and perfectionism. I'm here to tell you why you need one in your life.

I was probably about 12 years old when I first got my hands on a copy of Seventeen magazine. For me, it opened up my eyes to a whole new world -- a world I wasn't supposed to be a part of. It talked about boys my parents said I wasn't old enough to date, fashion my school dress code prohibited, and horoscopes and zodiac signs my religion cautioned against me believing. So for an angsty pre-teen, it represented a perfect mix of rebellion and curiosity.

Vaccination Dolphin
I love our beautiful blue planet. She is full of mystery and wonder. Sometimes, I find myself staring off into space and taking my mind into the far reaches of an infinite universe. Sometimes, I press my mind’s eye into the bottom of the sea and imagine large predators amongst vivid corals . It is hard to comprehend the genius of so many scientists who have discovered everything from how to accurately land a rover on Mars to the complexities of microscopic life. Science is my guidebook. It is the study that strives to explain the natural world. Astrology does not meet my definition of science. Zodiac signs are as legitimate as unicorns and leprechauns. So how do I write an article about my Zodiac sign? This is not going to be easy.

An Archer Or A Sea Goat
For a while, I have been struggling trying to figure out my true astrological sign. My birthday is on December 22nd. Since my birthday falls in the date range of a Capricorn, that would make me a Capricorn. Or am I really? One can assume that I am a Capricorn based on the birthday. But maybe I am not.
