Moondays by the Sea
“Hello! Welcome to Sweet Tooth Confections, how can I help you today?” The girl behind the counter at my local bakery when I walked in was new, probably in her mid twenties, and very pretty. I steeled myself for the usual type of interaction.

The Queen Is Here
I was awake the whole day trying to accept the fact if what had happened was reality or just what I dreamed in thought. It tore me to pieces emotionally and mentally. If he had kissed me and it was to punish me, he got his cake and ate it too. on the other hand, if it was truth, what do I do? However, if it was only in my head, why now? The list of questions parading through my thoughts kept my train off its rails. This all made as much sense as the thought of the world having people in charge just as pawns. Oh the confusion tormented every nerve in my body. Here is where being in a position like mine gets hard. I wanted to stay in bed for fear of what was unknown, but to lead my protectees by example was to get up make myself presentable and see our guest off. I decided not to to bury my problems but to no longer fight the thoughts on my own. I admitted to myself the I needed help. After getting dressed, I went to the edge of my land with all those that wished to go. I cleared my throat and mind, "Remember everyone, you may see events or activities in hwich you do not agree with, but YOU are from Aqua. You answer to me and the Royals. If anyone else causes issues, report them to King Edward, or Princess Vanaura, and they will handle it." I looked my mom whom had been standing nest to me. By the simmer in her eyes, I know she knew I wanted to talk afterwards. "Or myself." Amerilla and I both whipped our heads to see David had snuck up during my speech. All I could do was stare and ponder. I still could not read his expression. The thoughts came flooding back with revenge. Not far behind was Janyn with the same smirk as the night, well day, before. I lowered my eyes but not my head, so I noticed the rest of Opal approaching as well. I looked back at David slightly leaned my head forward to show respect. I then started saying my farewells and good lucks. As I finally made it to Danq and Charles, they smiled this knowing smile. "What is so amusing friends," I asked. Charles went to the front of the envoy that was forming after bowing. I gave my questioning look to Danq. He said on sentence then did the same. "It was real."

CHOCOLATE CAKE
CHOCOLATE CAKE WRITTEN BY: BILLY BRADY Hello, my name is Otis. I live to die, I was made for it, and dying I love to do. When I die, I make my killer, or killers happy, satisfied, and content. I can only imagine the looks on their faces as they finish me off. Slowly chewing me up, enjoying the delicious flavor of my moist and creamy body, eating away at it one bite at a time. Enjoyably licking what is left of me from their beautiful, satisfied, sometimes guilty faces. My only complaint is that I cannot see my perpetrators as they carry out this awful act of treachery that I so enjoy. I can only feel what they feel. A wide range of emotions that always ends with one simple word as they swallow what is left of my dark and fluffy body. Pleasure. Pleasure is what they always feel at the end of my demise. Pleasure, and the undeniable want for more. "Just one more piece" they always say, "and then I will back away." Most never back away from me. They lack the willpower and self-control it takes to ignore what I have to offer. I get inside their heads and make them think that they need me. Some I do not affect at all. They just eat me because they love me. They never feel all those extra emotions that get in the way of the true end result of my being. Pleasure. I was created for pleasure. Nothing more, nothing less.

Surface Tension. Runner-Up in The Aquarium Challenge.
A cold gust of air woke Alice from a deep sleep. She noticed first her wet clothes and then the rocks and sand beneath her. It was early, just before sunrise. Cold, confused, and severely dehydrated, Alice picked herself up to search for her missing shoes. She remembered having a few drinks, but nothing that would explain a blackout like this. Being so close to the shoreline, it was a wonder the tide didn’t carry her off.

Gender Equality and Knighthood
As I clasp the sword in my hands, I fear no man. The golden sword of truth glimmers underneath the sunlight as I brandish it back and forth, inspecting its metallic grace; its magically charmed jewels are sprinkled around several engravings of intricate marigold flowers. I, Rea, have been trusted to hold such a holy weapon of legends. And I am not exactly that surprised as I am easily the best and most skilled knight at our knight academy at only 19 years of age. Why else would they have made me one of the leaders of knights here? Why else would praises be sung wherever I go?
