Night for The Stars
Charlotte Henderson was looking for her little black book. She had all her notes and her recipes in that book. It was her little book of treasures. Over the years she had accumulated recipes from different countries. It had a wealth of information. Now, where had she put it she wondered. It had taken 10 years to gather all that information and for her the book was priceless.

Kansas City BBQ
Having lived in the Memphis and Kansas City areas, I have come to truly appreciate the culture that surrounds BBQ. There is an entire identity and etiquette that goes along with the cooking and eating of various cuts of meat. Respect and appreciation are tied to this culture – regardless of the region that you live. With that, I must say, I absolutely prefer Memphis style barbeque over Kansas City – however, Kansas City is home – so I will have to learn to love the sweet and saucy.

The POACHED blog, a resource for those in hospitality.
Finding meaningful work in hospitality is difficult these days. When the stream lined venues of Indeed, Craigslist, and Ziprecruter don’t produce anything inspiring where can someone turn? Wouldn’t it be ideal to use a platform that is centered around your industry? Today I’m happy to share with you my suggestion.

Oblivion Comics & Coffee: A Sacramento Tragedy
I first visited the hidden gem that was Oblivion Comics & Coffee in December of 2018 shortly after discovering their presence in Downtown Sacramento. There were not a whole lot of businesses that I had known of in the area that utilized the same concept of merging comic culture and coffee, so my interest was piqued. I myself had brainstormed that kind of idea before, in a "what do I want to do with my life" kind of way, so to see a coffee shop/comic book store in real life and so close to home was a wonder to me. It made Sacramento just feel cooler.
