An App-Snackin’ Foodie’s Super Sunday
We didn't think it could happen. A Super Bowl in The Year of Covid Hell in a Hand Basket? No bubbles can be that big - to encompass that many players, coaches and staff over the course of a 7 month season in ways that would keep those fine-tuned millionaires Covid-free? Impossible. But we were wrong. Despite major virus hits to the Steelers, Ravens and Titans with the Broncos losing badly to the repeatedly protocol-breaking Saints while having "essentially no quarterbacks on the field", this stubborn season happened. To top it off and for the first time ever, the Super Bowl was scheduled to take place in a city with a pro team on the field, essentially giving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a home Super Bowl game to win. Which they resoundingly did, much to my KC-crazed dismay. (There should be a rule against having a coach on the field. DAMN that Tom Brady).

Grandma's Game Day Chili
Chili is a game day staple in our family. It's a snack, a topping, a meal, and makes the best leftovers! Where I'm from, game day usually means there's a chill in the air and snow on the ground. There's nothing like my Grandma's Game Day Chili recipe simmering on the stove to make you feel warm, loved, and right at home.

The Ultimate Game Day Snack
When it comes to game day, or any other day for that matter, there is only one food that can be called the ultimate snack. One food that comes in so many varieties, from simple to surprisingly complex, that everyone can find a type they enjoy. The super food I’m talking about is, of course, NACHOS.

Super Bowl Sunday
Ok, so it’s Game Day and I'm a Dolphins fan. The last time my team made it to the Super Bowl, I wasn't even thought of yet! Hell, my mom was just a little girl herself back in the 70’s. But that doesn’t stop us from enjoying the game like our team DID make it! My husband doesn’t even watch football, except for when I have the game on (which is not very often because I’m in Steelers country). He even enjoys watching the big game. But his favorite part of the game are the goodies. Same as mine.

BOOZY CHILI FRITO PIE
It’s another super bowl, and once again this year you are cheering on a team you could care less about because your team didn’t make it. What is worse you can’t go to the game due to the state orders during this pandemic. However, there is one way to bring about a smile on that sad face of yours, and that is to make a nostalgic game day staple that everyone will enjoy. Trust me this boozy chili frito pie is so good that you will end up sharing this with your family, friends, significant other, neighbors, and nosy landlord. I mean, you don’t have to share you could just have this all to yourself, in fact it is so damn delicious it might make you want to do just that and entirely avoid sharing any of it after you try the first bite.

Thus, the idea of a food truck themed Super Bowl party was born! What a FANtastic way to kick off Super Bowl LV with food that will make you want an instant replay! Down, Set, Hike! Make way for the real MVG, Most Valuable Goodies.

Grandma's Game-day Spread
Grandma’s Game Day Spread Let’s travel back to the good ole’ days this year. Back when Grandpa and the uncles and whoever else showed up on game day to gather around that huge brown box that held the TV. A bunch of hungry, game rabid men need their sustenance, Grandma style. Guaranteed to be a hit that began generations ago and will keep going for generations to come. (I promise, you’ll want to print this for safe keeping.)
