Becoming a Queen (or King!) of Leftovers
Souper Douper <3 Hello! I’m Natalie, founder of Fairypants cosmetics, and I am you. Queen of Leftovers came about after I moved in with my then-boyfriend. We spent lots of time redesigning our house so it was perfect. We both worked full time, and managed to squeeze in time with our friends and family. However, I also decided I wanted to be the perfect housewife. I’m not so good at the whole cleaning thing, so for me it was more about my love of food, and wanting to keep exploring and building on my knowledge.

Simply Samantha: Beefy Onion and Bacon Cheddar Burger
Hey guys! Welcome to Simply Samantha, where the cooking is simple, and the results are oh-so satisfying. The first time I made these burgers for my husband I think he fell in love all over again! The gooey cheese, the great, but not overpowering, taste of onion, and the crispy bacon. What's not to love? Since I have your attention, lets begin! :)

Fettuccine Alfredo
I like to think of fettuccine Alfredo as the broke-girl’s boujee Italian dish. The sauce is based solely on heavy cream and parmesan, and the add-ins are very affordable (especially if you keep it vegetarian). Your cardiologist might experience heart flutters at the sight of the fat content in heavy cream, but I keep things a little lower in fat by cutting the recipe with half & half. The end result is a creamy sauce that still coats the noodles without sacrificing any flavor.

We all know the familiar sound of our stomachs throwing a hissy fit. Somewhere between breakfast and lunch, it starts—hunger pangs, those painful cries in the pit of your stomach take over your brain and all you can think about is food.

Being Vegan is a Pain in the Arse
Being vegan is a pain in the arse (but you should do it anyway) I'll start off by saying I'm no martyr. I knew the decision was going to be tough the moment I made it, but I suspected the pros would outweigh the cons. That being said, I had no idea what I was letting myself in for.

Baking Icelandic & Finnish Breads
Cooking may not be a resolution for someone in the new year, but these recipes are sure to get friends interested in Nordic culture and cuisine. In Iceland, barkers bury pots of rúgbrauð on top of geothermal pools full of water and return the next day to take out the bread and serve it with smoked cheese and fish.

Chickpea and Cashew Coconut Curry
Curry is one of the ultimate comfort foods in the world and it's not hard to see why. Its one of the most diverse dishes around because it can be customised and recreated in many different ways. 9 out of 10 times it’s a tikka masala for me because I’m a wimp with spice, but there are SO many different ones out there it's insane!
