What To Take With You At Maternity
Today we live a life full of duties and demands that our parents did not have (it is true that they also had theirs!). In this whirlwind of change, it seems that the most important moment remains an old world, the one in which we are waiting for the birth of our child.

"Am I Ovulating?"
Whether you’re trying to start your family or not, ovulation is the main event of the menstrual cycle. It directs the hormone fluctuations that occur leading up to a period or a pregnancy, and without it neither of these two things can happen.

A Growing Surprise
Life comes with many surprises, some of which were nearly impossible to come at all. A blessing in disguise what a scary change with a lot of responsibility. Life has a way of giving gifts you’ve never asked for. Shocking still when the chances were extremely low.

Ladybug, I will fly away…
We have all heard the saying; “You will be late to your own funeral”. It’s a funny saying meant to evoke pause and possible shame, I suppose, in a person whom is habitually late. In my family we had our own saying concerning punctuality, it was a funny quote, we called it “Hall Time” instead of “Wall time” in reference to our surname. It was hilarious to us because collectively we seemed to be challenged as a family at getting places in a timely manner. Looking back now, this was just one of many things about my childhood that I would later realize didn’t quite “fit” what most people consider society normalcies. My Dad, in particular it seemed, always had so many people and responsibilities that as hard as he tried it more often than not wasn’t in the cards for him to get to his destination on time. I remember even on the most important day of my life, my wedding day, there we all stood waiting for the procession to begin because he and half dozen other of my wedding party members had not shown. Total family chaos on the most wonderful day so far, and not one of them to blame.

Isabella
Isabella: A Letter to my baby Falling through a deep blue ocean I was dreaming when I met you. Afraid of feeling the loneliness and scared of what might attack me out of the dark, I felt exposed, vulnerable and waited with anticipation. Then you were here, on a giant manta ray gliding majestically towards me as if flying in slow motion through the water. Like an angel you shimmered in golden white light.

Sally Loves Tommy
The day of the wedding came with no word from Sally's family. Tommy and Sally were so excited that they didn't let that dampen their big day! Sally had bought and beautiful white dress and made a couple of alterations to make it her own. Tommy wore a dark blue suit and a smile that lit up the whole ceremony. He had bought Sally a beautiful bouquet of many different layers. He told Sally that it represented all of the reasons he loved her and how original that made their love and their wedding. She took one of the roses from the bouquet and pinned it on Tommy's lapel and told him that was only a small portion of the specialness of who he was to her. They walked down the aisles of the little country church and said their vows with the preacher of Tommy and Thomas' church, Brother Michael McAdoo & wife Matelda, and Thomas SR in attendance. It was a beautiful, loving and simple ceremony, just like the couple wanted. As they opened the church doors to leave, they were surprised to see Sally's family at the foot of the stairs. Sally ran down the stairs and hugged her brother and sister and then her father and stepmother. "Why didn't you come in and celebrate with us?" Sally asked.
