Rainy Saturday morning
What to do on a rainy, wet Saturday morning? You think to yourself and you begin to wonder about this little dilemma. You cared for your dog and did a few little chores. You get an idea, and you begin to write and write and write. Then, it strikes you do you start a new idea with some note, or do you continue your typing the book you finished writing for I am an old-fashioned writer that writes everything in a notebook first and I am a laborious typist. Reasons for delayed marriage of girls
Marriage is the official declaration of the relationship between two parties, with a legal and social contract that aims to make them partners in all matters of material and emotional life and other matters that require partnership in order for this marital relationship to be completed. Marriage is also known as the ceremony held to complete the ceremonies of bringing the two people together and celebrating that they have officially become partners, and this varies according to religion, customs and traditions in each society. : Reasons for delayed marriage for girls There are many reasons that lead to delayed marriage for girls and postponing it to an older age, including: Requirements There are many girls who want many ideal specifications in a life partner, such as beauty, prestige, money and other high conditions and standards that a girl may set for her life partner, and this may hinder her marriage and delay it a lot, due to her not accepting people who do not have all these specifications, which may be impossible and rare. Disappearance Some girls may tend to stay away from gatherings and various social occasions, which makes them out of sight and become forgotten, which leads to delaying their marriage because no one sees them and they do not see anyone either. Lack of understanding with men Some girls may suffer from the inability to communicate with men and the inability to understand and accept their different personalities, which leads to discomfort for both parties and thus not reaching the stage of marriage. The man may also have some qualities that do not suit her, which may lead to her distancing herself from him and ignoring the idea of marrying him. Independence The concept of independence has grown among girls at the present time, and the focus has increased on completing education and obtaining better opportunities in it, in addition to focusing on work and establishing independent projects, which leads to financial independence that may make girls view marriage as a burden after it was an opportunity to obtain a lot, which prompts some of them to refuse marriage from the beginning or prefer to delay it. Waiting for love It is not necessary for all marital relationships to be built on love before it, but in our time it has become very desirable and has become considered one of the basics of marriage, as few girls believe in love after marriage and not before it, and this has led to delaying the age of marriage for girls because they are waiting for the love of their life, unlike what was prevalent before, and this has led to the spread of the idea of love before marriage and its widespread spread in films and novels and its export as a basis for a happy marriage and that a happy married life must be preceded by an exceptional love story.Divorce rates have increased recently and are still increasing, which has contributed to some girls' reluctance to marry and their preference to stay alone instead of entering into a failed relationship and being exposed to emotional pain and the pain of separation, to the point that some have begun to prefer not to marry or postpone it to a certain time for fear of this matter, although seeing people separate for various reasons has led to an increase in awareness of emotional commitment and what the picture should be and what marriage exactly means, but this has become a bit scary for some girls. The importance of marriage: Marriage is considered one of the important things in life, and its importance lies in the following: Forming a family: The individual usually aspires to have an independent family and a life of his own with the life partner he chooses, so marriage is what achieves this goal, as married life is considered the beginning of balance and bearing responsibility with another person and then with children for life, and this allows a person to improve many of his principles in his life and personality, such as altruism and staying away from selfishness and self-love, in order to provide the necessary care and attention to his life partner and their children in the best possible way. Love Many people yearn to find love in their lives, as it is considered one of the most important things that a person is constantly looking for, and marriage provides a kind of love based on respect, care, attention and many other things, as it provides unlimited and unconditional love between spouses, which makes them ready to stand by each other and provide support at all times. Sharing Sharing is one of the most important reasons that lead to comfort and happiness, as both partners can tell each other anything and share their dreams and concerns and help each other reach the goals they dream of achieving, which means having a permanent and eternal friend who understands the other person accurately, helps him make his decisions and shares all matters of life with him. Reducing stress and frustration Marriage reduces the rates of stress and frustration in both spouses, as married people do not feel frustrated like unmarried people, due to the support they find from their partners in addition to their satisfaction with their lives and comfort, and marriage can greatly increase a person's satisfaction rate, while unmarried people, especially in their twenties, do not seem satisfied with their lifestyle, which may lead to frustration or anxiety, especially if marriage is significantly delayed. Better health Married people enjoy better health than single people, and getting continuous support from a partner makes a person more able to fight and resist illness if exposed to it. A person also tends to take care of himself more if he is responsible for others, or if there is someone who encourages him to take care of himself and his health.

Punishing anyone who practices violence against women in accordance with laws and legislation, and compensating women who have been subjected to violence for the damages they have suffered. Developing a preventive approach, and comprehensive legal, political, administrative and cultural measures to enhance the protection of women from all forms of violence. Allocating sufficient resources in government budgets for activities aimed at eliminating this violence. Focusing on the education sector to modify social and cultural behaviors, and eliminating wrong practices against women: Solutions taken by society Society, with all its members, must strive to eliminate all forms of violence against women by following the following steps: Raising awareness among individuals about the dangers of customs and traditions that have harmful effects on women’s lives, and the poor conditions women face in rural areas, and raising awareness in society about the facts of the prevalence of violence against women. Listening to the experiences of women who have been subjected to violence, and responding to their needs. Training women and enhancing their ability to earn money, in addition to supporting their families. Raising community awareness of the negative effects of early and forced marriage. Encouraging women's participation in the political process and economic development. Reporting any form of violence against women when exposed to or witnessing it. Solutions taken by the family The family is the basic nucleus on which society is based, and society is reformed through its safety. Examples of the role of the family in combating violence against women include the following: Raising family awareness and increasing the awareness of its members of the importance of eliminating this violence. Sharing responsibilities equally between men and women to do household chores. Respecting the life partner even if opinions differ, and always inquiring about her needs. Solutions taken by educational institutions Education is a fundamental pillar in achieving equality and preventing violence against women, through the following methods: Creating a safe educational environment for all students. Encouraging women to learn by challenging the difficulties arising from the cultural norms of society, and changing beliefs that reject women's right to education, as this social transformation is achieved by striving towards equal opportunities to obtain a good education. The school's focus on reducing student aggression. Providing students with the arts of dealing and building relationships based on respect between the sexes. Solutions taken by the World Health Organization Violence can cause many negative effects on women's physical, mental, sexual and reproductive health, so the World Health Organization has taken several measures to participate in ending violence against women, including the following: Establishing an evidence base to measure the extent of violence against women, and clarifying its nature and consequences. Cooperating with international organizations to support countries' efforts to eliminate this violence. Developing national plans and policies to address this violence. Strengthening the health sector's response to violence against women. The Importance of Eliminating Violence Against Women Violence against women is a serious violation of human rights, so it is important to eliminate it because of the short- and long-term physical, psychological and mental effects it causes on women, in addition to preventing them from participating effectively in society. It is worth noting that its negative effects are not limited to women only, but extend to their families, communities and countries. The financial aspect plays a major role in motivating people to eliminate this type of violence, because of the huge financial costs and expenses it causes to individuals, families and countries, represented in the legal expenses of holding perpetrators accountable, and the need to provide more health care for abused women, in addition to the losses in production resulting from violence against women, which negatively affects the national budget and comprehensive development. Prevention of Violence Against Women The best way to end violence against women is to prevent it from happening in the first place, by addressing its causes, which are based on false social norms and gender discrimination, through: Achieving gender equality and strengthening relations of mutual respect between them. Empowering women in society. Granting women all their human rights. Making the home and public places safe for women. Enhancing women's economic independence. Increasing women's participation in decision-making processes. Raising awareness and educating society about this issue through the media and social networking sites. The role of men in eliminating violence against women There are many efforts being made at the international level to involve men in eliminating violence against women. This is done by targeting them in community campaigns that contribute to preventing this phenomenon, participating in educational programs, and benefiting from their powers as legislators of laws and policies that limit violence against women, or from men’s experiences as advocates and activists for women’s rights. The role of men in eliminating violence against women is clear from three aspects as follows: Avoiding men committing violence against women themselves. Positive intervention when confronted with violence against women by another man. Addressing the cultural and social causes and motivations for violence against women.

The Notebook
On the desk is a stack of notebooks. Some are full of notes, and some are full of a little bit of everything from stories to poems to articles of various subjects. There are some that are empty and ready to be filled. What do you suppose should fill them? I know that some would start a possible novel or maybe a collection of short stories. At time I was thinking of a textbook dealing with American history for preschoolers or primary children. Yes, I am that writer with the stack of notebooks on my desk. What do you think?

Come Sunday Morning
Come Sunday morning you take a walk alone or with your companion in this case my dog. I am watching the sunrise rising over the horizon and seeing the sky turn from a light purple to almost a red. There is that old Navy saying, "Red skies in the morning, sailors take warning, Red skies in the evening Sailors rejoice. That is not the right word, but I could never remember that one word. Sunday a time to rest and rejoice for it's a day to say thanks to the Lord for another day or two or three or more.
