Wrong Hotel
As a rideshare driver, one of the most common questions I get asked is "What is the most interesting passenger you've ever had?" or perhaps "Tell me a story of the craziest rider you've had." Over my time as a driver, this list has grown and grown and grown, and I'd often joke that one day I'd make a book of these stories to which the response usually consisted of a gasp and a "You should!"

Last Stages of Editing. Top Story - June 2022.
Normally, I don't stay up late. By 10:00pm my phone screen is black and I've given into the first wave of melatonin. I do most of my writing during the day, under the eye-straining light of my office at work. I read over the first draft, drawing small triangles, hearts, and squares between sentences in my efforts to cleanly refer to little edits I've put in the footnotes of the paper. I read over the filled pages of my journal or printer paper and smile. Sentences build into paragraphs. Paragraphs become chapters. Chapters form a rough skeleton of a hopeful novel. I'm excited. It already has a title. I'm certain that it's my best work yet.

the reality of child modeling... 🌇
I got a few comments the other day on a YouTube video that I posted. The video was of our work week in NYC. Staying in a beautiful hotel on Roosevelt Island. Back-to-back photoshoots with amazing, inclusive brands. I was so proud editing the clips together to share with who wanted to see a sneak peak into our life. I loved that video and will cherish the memories that we are documenting forever.

What Do Most People Regret At The End Of Their Life?. Top Story - June 2022.
We crucify ourselves between two thieves: regret for yesterday and fear of tomorrow. Fulton Oursler I have been fortunate enough to work with some amazing people in my career. I don’t mean nurses; I am referring to my patients.

I Reached Out To A Former Colleague Who I Had Not Gotten Along With
Four months after leaving my previous job as a content writer at an agency, for the first time, I texted my former colleague (let's call her Amy) who I did not have a great rapport with, because of a random post.

My Car Got Stolen
It can't be a pleasant experience to have one's car stolen. That moment when you go out to get in your car to go to work or the store and realize...it's just not there. We take whatever precautions we can. We park where there's security, lock the doors, maybe have an anti-theft device or put our cars in a locked garage. Whatever it is, we put money into our cars and certainly don't want them stolen. At least, most of us take precautions to not have our cars stolen.

Wedding
I love weddings. At least, I think I do. I think I went to one as a kid but I can't recall. Maybe it was all in my head. I've seen enough of them in movies, though, and seen people posting photos and videos of them all over social media so I think I'd love them if I ever attended one. The season was early spring, and where I live, that means still having snow storms, crappy weather, rain every other day that turns into ice overnight, constant overcasts, and "out of the blue" storms out to ruin everything right up next to their buddy freezing gusts of wind. Despite this, the coronavirus had forced everybody indoors for too long and ruined too many people's plans for weddings and other ceremonies. They just weren't having it anymore, and as soon as some of the social restrictions were lifted, people were grabbing whatever venue they could possibly get, not caring what the weather said otherwise.

Come Help Me Vote
As a driver, I can usually tell what sort of passengers I'm going to get simply by my surroundings. The time frame, the city, the day of the week, any events going on, and even the weather will determine my passenger base. At the point of this story, it was around election time. Tensions were high, and I got a lot of very vocal political customers. Personally, I don't talk politics with others, especially not strangers. It's just a bear trap waiting to snap. I'll nod my head once in a while, give a "Oh, I see" general comment, and if they ask if I agree, I give a vague "It's wonderful that everybody is entitled to their opinion and thoughts." It gives people the sense that I agree with them (whether I do or not for I say the same thing no matter their political view), while still remaining in an upbeat tone. During this time, everybody felt the need to argue their points to their rideshare driver for whatever reason. I didn't mind as long as it didn't get nasty (although sometimes it did with passengers even threatening to kill or do harm to the "other party" which is why I always kept my opinion to myself).

Acapella
It was a weekend evening, not too late but just late enough that people were mostly already out wherever they were going to have fun that weekend and a few of the more early-retiring party-goers were already calling it a night and heading home. I was working late to try to make a bit more income, especially since I was mostly sticking around safer cities and areas, although that didn't stop the flood of pot-smelling, foul-mouthed, drunkards who continually forgot where their own homes were from getting into my car and falling asleep during the seven minute ride back to their place.

life
My experience as a dental assistant/receptionist was very good at the beginning with my first employer. But my employer decided to sell the office to a new Doctor he seem very nice talks about all the new things he wants to do new changes he wants to make i was happy he wanted to make changes and make everyone feel comfortable. After three months he change his attitude towards myself and my coworkers, he started with me telling me i wasn't doing my job right to which he told me he use to admire my work. Then he started with one of my coworker that he only wanted her to work one day a week but he waited till the end of the day to tell her that which was wrong he had no excuse to why she can only work one day a week then he gave her a check for that one day but she work the day before for four hours so she ask what about her four hours for yesterday he said he didn't t tell her to come he gave her a hard time he didnt want to pay her for the four hours and told her she is fired. It was a back and forth argument for about twenty minutes till he finally wrote her a check for the four hours then she ask can she have a letter stating she is not working there no more the Dr made a big deal and argue with her all over again. I felt so bad for her she been working in the office since it open twenty years with the Doctor that open the office and she never had a problem with him but here comes someone new wants to buy the office and offer to take all employees with the office and changes his mind. After only having the office for two weeks he wants terminate everyone and hire new employees he even stated he has five new possible interviews to hire new employess. I learn to not trust anyone when they say they need you then say they can replace you in a heart beat not all boss are horrible but mine is, i cant work with anyone that disrespect woman and thinks its ok like its 2022 we woman don't take disrespect, as human beings we should get respect to give respect. My manager was very shaky and nervous i taught she was going to have a heart attack because she have problem with her heart she had heart attacks in the pass. He even argue with the manger before and told her he only needs her two days a week she had to go outside and get some air to breath better. I had to call my old employer because things were getting out of hand and he said that the new Doctor haven't paid him yet for the office so he doesn't own the office as yet, he said he will call his lawyer right away because he made a agreement to keep all employees and he isn't keeping his word. So far i don't know what will happen to my job because we all depend on our job to survive we have bills to pay and our kids depend on us especially me as a single mother. If he knew he didn't wanted us he could have never agree with my employer before and could have gave everyone weeks notice to find another job. This has been a experience for myself because i depend on this job especially now that everything is going up high like food and rent.
