If You Want a Tidy Apartment, Buy a Crap Computer
The home in which I grew up was generally a tidy place. The living room was always spotless, and my mother was a stickler for washing the pots right after a meal. Her assiduousness, however, doesn't appear to have rubbed off onto her offspring. The bedroom I shared with one of my two brothers was often an eyesore that let the side down badly.

If Walls Could Talk
“If walls could talk” Is a phrase I have heard time and again. - I stand still. Stoic and proud. A witness to a race of beautifully depraved creatures. I am pockmarked from years of forgotten furniture. To the centre left there is a sizeable dent. An armoire from the seventeenth century, brought over from France to create a sense of undeserved familiarity for the Baron’s new wife.

Valentines Day Is Over
Introduction This is just a general thing about how Valentine’s Day fifty years ago was so much creepier than the current corporate “romance” fest that it has become today. I am not been curmudgeonly about this but if you go into a card shop there are cards for loads of made-up occasions, one for every family member and lots more as well as genuine occasions like birthdays, religious occasions and such. Cards are nice to receive but the plethora we have now is ridiculous and often I just get a blank card for an occasion, although someone was recently shocked that I actually bought, wrote and hand-delivered a card to a close friend.

The Low Income Apartment
If walls could talk, I would still not spill my secrets. I would protect the people who's stories are theirs to tell. I would keep my seams sealed if a person were to contemplate every grimy smudge and textured popcorn shadow following the rise of the sun, as if that were their own purpose of life.
