Hotel Diary

Her name was Jennifer Taylor; sometimes in life you meet folks but can’t seem to remember their name. Thus the term; “ I’m good with faces, not good with names.”

Then you meet folks and no matter the time or distance.. you could never forget the name.

This tells me, the reason you cannot forget their name is because that person is meant to be someone big, someone important.. someone that no matter the distance, or how long you know them you must say their name...

For example, Jennifer Taylor.. this is a first and last name and absolutely everyone at the Doubletree Metropolitan referred to Jennifer, as Jennifer Taylor.

With approximately 765 rooms and absolutely everyone refers to you by first and last name?

That’s fire darling!

Like ten years ago, I had no idea. Everyone at that property referred to her as, Jennifer Taylor.

Both in gossiping types of conversation and regular work Bull.. it was always Jennifer Taylor.. now what can I say about Ms. Taylor?

She was super friendly, seemed shy and quiet at first but then was a pleasure to work with.

I Karen aka Diana was the Manager on Duty and Jennifer Taylor was a Front Desk Agent.

As quiet and nice as she was, I do not think Hospitality was for her.

Eventually it was not for me either.. stick around I’ll tell ya why..

In 2014, I moved on over to the Park Central Hotel and lost touch with Jennifer Taylor.. eventually losing touch with everything it seemed like.

Next month we celebrate one year of wellness and I could not be more proud of myself and children during this time, but it has been quite a journey of healing naturally.

To be unemployed while trying to begin such a big project was a challenge to say the least but I have reconnected with some folks which makes me happy.

I reconnected with folks like Jennifer Taylor!

Now I know why I could not forget that name! In re-connecting with her I learned that she is now a Business Owner.. in the wellness field!

Caliente Jennifer Taylor!

It was really important for me to preserve myself during this year.. I needed to heal and sometimes you do have to go into Hermit mode for introspection of life and do better, especially I now being a Business Owner as well I cannot wait to reconnect!

She uses natural ingredients and also has included Rose Quartz in her facials!

I will be re-connecting with Ms. Jennifer Taylor as we have plenty of stories to share!

What an amazing journey we have been on, remember this.. if you cannot forget the name it is because this person is of high importance to you in some way some how, I encourage you to re connect with someone you haven’t spoken to in a while and see what you discover.

This past year has been very challenging for everyone around the world. In my 40 years I have never witnessed a world wide shut down and my immediate thought was, we must do better.

Wellness is the way, whether it’s internal healing that needs to go on or treating your skin.
