Musicians Who Became Famous Through YouTube
With the abundance of bands, solo artists, rappers, DJs, and singing groups, there is a massive amount of musicians that one would have to surpass to climb their way onto the top music charts. And if that seems hard enough to get onto the charts, imagine how hard it is to get your name and music out there so people will begin to listen and appreciate the music that you have created. There are millions of people that put themselves out there and post their own videos on YouTube. Whether you rap, sing, or play a weird musical instrument, all that you dream for is for someone to discover your talent. Should Playing Music Make Us Happy?
I love yoga and I love music. I often create parallels between the two practices, both so connected to the breath and body, connecting the physical body with the mind and spirit. I noticed a significant improvement in how my music practice made me feel after maintaining a regular yoga practice. The things I learn about one also help me to relate to the others. Recently, I listened to an interesting podcast from Brett Larkin Yoga entitled: What to Do when Yoga Doesn’t Make You Feel Happy and couldn’t help but think many of the points applied to music.

Kanye West 'Graduation' Review
Opening Opinion: 9.5 My hype for this album was very high. It’s kind of a hard feeling to describe. I had heard enough singles from the album to know that it was dope. However what wasn’t apparent to me is this going to be his best album, or not. Graduation certainly lives up to that hype….and it’s my favorite rap album ever.

Dry the River and Faith
Dry the River was a short lived band. I have yet to run into anyone who knows them, which is disappointing considering just how perfect their album "Shallow Bed" is. I discovered this album a few years ago, however, initially only ever listened to the acoustic version. Finally transitioned to the non-acoustic, and this album as a whole has changed my life.

Sampling in Music
Popular music (pop music) these days uses elements of other peoples records. We think of today's artists, who seem to not have original ideas anymore. Some say that everything that can be written has been written. But it this idea of sampling and 'ripping off' older music a new thing? Has it been like this for ages or is it how it has always been?

Best Michael Jackson 'Thriller' Songs. Top Story - July 2017.
Michael Jackson, also known as MJ and the King of Pop, was an iconic star in pop culture throughout his life. He began in a band with his older brothers known as the Jackson 5 but quickly moved on to a long solo career which landed him countless awards. His album, Thriller, is still the best-selling album of all time to this day. The intense popularity of this album was not only a musical and cultural phenomenon but very important because its success helped to pave the way for other Black artists. He was one of the first popular Black artists to consistently air music videos on MTV. It's nearly impossible to go through life without knowing the chorus by heart to at least one of his songs, especially off of this album. But if you're wondering which of the songs on this album are the top of the top, here are the best Michael Jackson Thriller songs ever recorded.

Vinyl Rewind
With the contemporary renaissance of vinyl record collecting, now is the perfect time to dive into Vinyl Rewind. Not only has renewed interest in the vinyl record format become more popular since the 1980s, but interest has also made the Internet ubiquitous with numerous music blogs and websites discussing the enduring format. Among the most noteworthy and enjoyable I’ve found is Vinyl Rewind, which is hosted by wax enthusiast Eric Callero, aka the Vinyl Geek.

How To Deal With Stage Fright
When I first started playing my music to large crowds of people I suffered from crippling stage fright. I couldn't play a single note unless someone was touching my shoulder or I was playing in a group. I'm proud to say that after a decade of playing for large crowds I have figured out how to deal with my chronic stage fright.
