Relax , Recharge Then Write
Brian Eno - Thursday Afternoon This afternoon I had a very relaxing experience. I am not at work til Wednesday and did not log on to Facebook this morning. As very few of my Vocal friends are on this side of the Atlantic no one missed me because they were asleep.

One of the Finest Authors You Have Never Read
Possibly last millennium my friend Steve Kirby, drummer with the band I played with “Spoon” (not the famous Spoon) lent me a book called the Day of Judgement by an author called Daniel Easterman called “The Day of Wrath”. I am not one for what might be termed “political thrillers” but this grabbed me by turning the expected stereotypes completely upside down.

From The Underworld
I was chatting with my Muse and “From The Underworld” by The Herd came on the player. I thought that would be a perfect for a poem for her given our love of Greek Mythology. The story of Orpheus and Eurydice came to mind which you can read here.

How Many Words?
Nine months ago I published my first Vocal story “Coincidentally ... Ken Nordine” which I had lifted from my blog Seven Days In. It has had 40 reads logged against it, that is an average of one read per week. My least read piece has four reads partially because I never shared it on Social Media because it was such a downer piece but I need to get it out of my system and it sits there now as a warning of how not to be.

Eddie Has Left The Building
Encountering Meatloaf in The Rocky Horror Picture Show The first time I had an encounter with Michael Lee Aday (born Marvin Lee Aday; September 27, 1947 – Left This Mortal Plane January 20, 2022), was watching the excellent musical Richard O’ Brien’s “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” featuring Tim Curry as the sweet transvestite Dr. Frank-N-Furter - A Scientist and Meatloaf as Eddie, an Ex Delivery Boy on a Motorcycle with only half a brain who met his comeuppance with a pick axe.
