Crossing Paths
One Spring day in May our eyes met in the street my heart felt intense and skipped a beat. A look, a stare, love at first sight? I sensed great joy and profound delight. The traffic was moving, my head in a spin I tripped over my feet and you gave me a grin. You reached out to catch me and held out your arm, you smiled and I laughed at your virtuous charm. The instant attraction proved right from that day, our eyes became rooted “Hello, you okay”?

Lizzie
I am sitting in my car it’s February 14th St Valentine’s Day and am staring at a store window in absolute awe of an old friend named Lizzie who I met when we were both 14. We both went to the same school in the North of England and lived opposite ends of the city. Since leaving school at age 16 we kind of went our separate ways and would only meet up when we bumped into each other from work and spontaneously go for a drink and a catch up. After wondering about Lizzie and what had become of her I finally found out 5 years later.

Kindred Spirit
I am a daughter a sister and aunt. A daughter to two a sister to six an aunt to eight. Four words I repeat over and over “How can I help?” How can I help you my darling kindred spirits what kindness can I impart to help you from going down the rabbit hole, the depths of despair, the chaos and crisis of your mental health and not coping with ever-changing moods and evolving life cycles? You see I have survived and thrived, I have coped and hoped I have fallen and got up many times over and over so I am and will be here for you Kin through thick and thin.

Don’t Worry Be Stretched
Curiosity with Stretchology had me visiting their Lab in London. My body was crying out for help and it was a cry for help I could not ignore. I booked a session for 1hr and was greeted and seated and treated to an experience of a lifetime. I had put on a good stone in weight and was menopausal which had my moods swinging back and forth up and down until I could no longer tolerate myself let alone family and friends.

Hustle
I resolve to rest in 2022 and naturalise my modern lifestyle. By doing so action needs to be taken so I will reset my body and brain and drain all the ridiculous responsibilities that hustle culture has reared itself upon me.

The Tramp
We have a tramp in our neighbourhood he appeared overnight it seems. I do not know his name and he does not know mine. He does however, salute me when I go for my morning newspaper, “Good morning young lady” and I politely say “Good morning”

The Clock Tower
Garbed in a skirt of lights the countdown begins toward a new era a New Year from 1895 to future. The clock tower ticks and tocks silently in its quaint charm signifying itself amidst the swirling of traffic and the locals gathering for their daily shop on the Broadway.

I can see clearly
Am wearing glasses which I never used to never wanted to, they steam up when I wear a mask to cover my nose and mouth, this Covid has caused chaos in the eyes of us spectacle wearers. Today I am on way for an eye test after experiencing little floaters which to my eyes resemble tiny winged insects. I thought I was having an apocalyptic experience right in front of my very eyes.
