Before Us
They drove to the edge of the earth and considered driving off it.
The rocky ledge crumbles under the weight of the carriage carrying the heaviness of what they wish they did not want. Perhaps they will turn around and go back the way they came? They have experienced what is back there and would not have moved on were they so inclined to stay. Going back is not an option. To continue forward is sensible to the seekers of salvation, yet the danger in daring to lose everything over the ledge is a risk no one is willing to take… where to now?
