shrouded in blue mist, seductive abundance waits to snare mere mortals.

sapphire on my hand, dazzling evidence of a promise I can't keep.
crescendo and fall violent tenderness, only way the sea can love.
cobalt slumbering creature of the deep; rise now take disbelievers.
velvet moonbeam, stroke my cheek, smear midnight blue in my soul’s alleyways.
turquoise tide pool, left behind by receding waves, abandoned bounty
bluebells tinkle, brought on the wind; fairy music wild and unbroken.
blue nail polish, an homage to my big sister. won’t return my calls.
blue ribbon, unfurled, discarded with the wrapping; treasure become trash.
cut into the cake I don’t care which color is there; he wants a boy.
our aching blue home what have we done to you with insatiable greed?
whether the world ends in fire or in ice, no doubt, blue will be there.
