Alan Willis had two portrayer on ‘The Jeffersons’
When most people think of the popular television sitcom THE JEFFERSONS the names Andrew Rubin and Jay Hammer probably do not instantly come to mind. Both of these men caused controversy because they were each cast in the role of Alan Willis the son of Tom and Helen Willis. Alan was not in many episodes and some fans may not even recall him but his presence on the series raised eyebrows and led to conversations about race and skin tone.

"Call me if you need anything" is a hollow phrase
For my entire life when people have been divorced, hospitalized, or after funerals, I have heard at least one person say "If there's anything I can do just let me know," or "Call me if you need anything." Decades ago I heard a pastor tell the congregation to stop using these phrases. He said that telling someone to call you, puts the burden on the person who is in need and makes them feel like they have to beg for assistance.

Hunter King blackout baffles fans of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS
About 6 weeks ago the rumor mill suggested that a prominent female soap star was leaving her role. When Summer Newman left Genoa City on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and moved to Italy many fans believed her portrayer Hunter King was walking away from the role. A short time later Michael Mealor who portrays Kyle Abbott was rumored to be exiting the CBS soap and his castmate Jason Thompson went public saying he would miss his nephew. A few days later Mealor himself confirmed he was leaving but Hunter King has remained silent.

Archie Bunker and Henry Jefferson's feuds on 'All in the Family'
All in the Family little known fact ALL IN THE FAMILY ran on CBS from 1971-1979. Fans can still enjoy the series in syndication on various cable networks and streaming services. Some who watched the original run of the show might be surprised to learn that Archie Bunker, (Carroll O'Conner) did not meet his nemesis, George Jefferson,( Sherman Hemsley) until 1973 when season 4 began. It was George's sibling Henry Jefferson, (Mel Stewart) who vexed Archie for the first 3 seasons. George was talked about so much that probably by the time he did show up many who watched the sitcom probably felt like he had always been around.

Amzie Ellen Strickland portrayed Miss Rosemary on "The Andy Griffith Show'
The name Amzie Ellen Strickland might not sound familiar but if you are a fan of "THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW " and other programs from that era you will recognize her face. She appeared in episode 7 of season 1, of the popular series which ran for 8 seasons on CBS. The actress portrayed a woman who was interested in Deputy Barney Fife, (Don Knotts). in "Andy the Matchmaker which aired on November 13, 1960." During this episode, Miss Rosemary was a sweet quiet demure woman whom Sherrif Andy Taylor,(Andy Griffith) tried to get his deputy to ask out on a date.

Spencer's Wydamere party will surely bring heartbreak on 'General Hospital'
On Thursday's episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL. Spencer agreed to host a party at Wyndemere. Joss, Cameron, and Trinia seemed thrilled but they don't have any idea what they will be in for. On Friday Spencer ran his game on Ava by telling her to stop sending his dad mixed signals. Viewers do not like the way this young man is manipulating everyone around him. In the midst, Nikolas is worried that the truth will be revealed about his having Hayden Barnes shot and Ryan Chamberlain is becoming active.

Eric Forrester helps Phyllis to put Sally in Check during a crossover episode
On Tuesday, August 3 there will be another crossover episode between THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. Those who watch Y&R know that Phyllis Summers is in rare form and needs answers right away. Amanda, Jack, and Kyle have all said they need cold, hard, evidence to convince them that Tara and Sally ran Summer away from Genoa City. The countdown has begun and the clock is ticking as Michael Melor's exit is coming soon.

Justin disappeared again on 'The Bold and the Beautiful'
Aaron D Spears had some great episodes as Justin Baber on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL for several weeks and his fans were hoping this would continue and that he would be on screen for a while longer. Unfortunately once Bill dismissed him and then a usual, "Poof he was gone." After Dollar Bill said his former friend was dead to him Justin went straight to Forrester Creations and offered his loyalty to Ridge as Thomas looked on. That was the last time that Spears character was seen and fans are wondering when he will be back.

Michael, Daniel, and Joseph Todd were the triplets on "My Three Sons"
The television series MY THREE SONS ran on ABC and later CBS between 1960-1972. It was the second-longest-running TV show of its era with 12 seasons. OZZIE AND HARRIET came in first by remaining on the air for 14 years. MY THEE SONS currently can be seen weekday mornings in syndication on MeTV. The show began with widower Steven Douglas raising his sons Mike, Robbie, and Chip. After Mike married and moved away Douglas adopted Chip's best friend Ernie. In 1968 Robbie's wife Katie gave birth to triplets who were portrayed Michael, Daniel, and Joseph Todd from 1970-1972.

'The Young and the Restless' viewers suspect Mariah was kidnapped by Ian Ward
Who has Mariah? Those who watch THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS are giving their opinions regarding who has kidnapped a very pregnant Mariah Copeland. The number one suspect is Ben "Stitch" Rayburn who showed up in Genoa City shortly before Sharon's daughter disappeared. He was also the last person to see her before she vanished and some fans of the CBS soap say this makes the prime suspect while others say it causes him to be too obvious.

Ted King and Naomi Matsuda, debut as Finn's parents on "The Bold and the Beautiful'
Finn's parents arrive The Finnegans have arrived in LA and it’s about time. Ted King debuted Friday, July 30 on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL as Jack the father of Steffy's fiancee Dr. Finn. This has been a long time coming and viewers are eager to find out all about little Hayes's grandparents. Fans are also wondering what this couple will think about Paris Buckingham living in the home with their grandchild. Is it a mere coincidence that Zoe’s younger sister took up residence in the beach house just one week prior to Finn’s parents showing up or is all of this connected somehow?

Rockne Tarkington portrayed Flip Conroy on THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW
Young people of color today question why there were no African Americans living in Mayberry on THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW. They don't understand their parent's and grandparents' devotion to a series that was devoid of African Americans. There were black town residents in the background from time to time but none of them had speaking roles. This changed on March 13, 1967, when Rockne Tarkington had a speaking role in season seven of the popular series.
