Airport in My Dreams
The airport is fully mobile and the counters are only available for you to pack your luggage. The shops inside are all beautifully designed and cheaper than usual. There is an entertainment center for you to spend your time while waiting for your flight. There is a movie theater, internet cafe, game room and library in the entertainment center. The kiosks inside are full of snacks.

My Writing Routine
I am very grateful to the staff at Vocal for creating four new pages for the writers out there who want to discuss their craft, be critiqued, learn that there are others out there who are creating work that is remarkable, and to discuss how they do it. And how do we do it? I have written a little about the writing lives of the ones I have admired. Much of what I have taken for my routine comes from the advice read and heard online, from the biographies that I found and reviewed, and other teachers. Rarely – and I blame myself for this – I never spoke directly to writers to find out how they did it. I have received a few autographs at many readings and conferences, but I never found or made an opportunity to pick their brains about their work.

Literary Citizenship
Before I even knew what it was, I wrote a bit about Literary Citizenship in these two previous articles - The Benefits of Reciprocity for Writers and Giving and Receiving Feedback. I recently ran across the actual term for it while reading a book by Jane Friedman called “The Business of Being a Writer,” where she gave credit to editor Rob Spillman for coining the term. Literary Citizenship is described as “activities that support reading, writing and publishing in the literary community.”
