As a travel and adventure photographer, I have managed to see some parts of the world, but not all. So, when Exodus Travels announced a contest where the prize is one trip per year for 25 years, I jumped at the chance.

Alice in Appalachia (Downtown Knoxville, TN, Art District)
Yesterday (9/24/22) my family and I took an adventure in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee. We were romping around market square in the art district. We had bought tickets to a Clued Up Games event, featuring Alice in Wonderland.

Helen, Georgia
As a child, we often camped in the Northeastern part of Georgia. Nestled there in the mountains was a small town with architecture inspired by Bavaria, Germany. I was intrigued by the lake for swimming and boating. One of my favorite waterfalls, Anna Ruby Falls, is a short drive and hike up the road from Helen.

Los Algodones; The "Molar City". Top Story - August 2022.
I would like to introduce you to a little city that saved my smile in Mexico called Los Algodones. It's nickname is "Molar City". It has over 5000 residents and about 600 of them are Dentists. Los Algodones is a city in Mexicali Municipality, Baja California located on the United States-Mexico border. It is south of Andrade, California and west of Yuma, Arizona.

A Plant-Based Road Trip through England and Scotland
“Veganism is not a sacrifice, it’s a joy.” Gary L. Francione The United Kingdom is a perfect travel destination for a vegan. Never on the two-week road trip from London to Edinburgh was there a shortage of plant-based food. I quite literally ate my way through London, Bath, the Cotswolds, Stratford-Upon-Avon, the Lake District, Loch Lomond, Inverness, and Edinburgh.

Missing Peking
If I were to write a novel with Beiping as the setting, I would not be afraid because I could pick up what I knew and avoid what I did not know. If I were to tell a set of Beiping in a single floating way, I could not. Although I was born there and did not leave until I was twenty-seven, I really feel that I know too little. I have never been to Taoranting, which is ridiculous! By analogy, what I know is only "my Beiping", and my Beiping is probably equal to a hair of a cow.

Through the Eyes of a Virginia Coaster Enthusiast: Dollywood Review
Dollywood is an amusement park located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, in the Smokey Mountain regions of the United States. This park has been on my bucket list since 2013, one of the earliest of my coaster enthusiast years, and almost a decade later, I finally was able to make a trip to this park. I can already say after first impressions, this is perhaps the second most beautiful theme/amusement park I've had the privilege to visit, only behind Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia.

The Final Drop
A single drop made its way over the cage pulled by the strong force of the summer sun. Its greatest desire is to be set free from its crunchy and delicious cage. That single drop is naïve to think there is anything waiting for it on the other side of the waffled exterior. But, nonetheless, the bewitching sun is too powerful in its ways. It calls for the single drop of frozen delectable to push just a little further, melt just a little faster. The drop knows nothing of its future if it falls. A future in which it will become just a meaningless speck on the sidewalk soon to be trampled by running feet. No one will pay any mind to the speck on the sidewalk; whose life expectancy has been shortened to practically nothing. All in good time, the sun will call its name, and the drop will have no choice but to respond, melting away until it has become one with the energy around it. The drop, responding to the call as fast as possible, does not see destiny lurking . In a moment's notice, the drop is scooped up; not by the sun, but by a wet, pink tongue desperately trying to prevent wasting a single drop of sweet cream. And just like that, the drop has yet to drip. It becomes as Alice tumbling down a dark tunnel towards Wonderland without knowledge of where lies the final destination. But fear not little sun. You may have lost one drop; however, the brothers are just as eager to respond to your halloo.

A Trip to Ireland’s Most Haunted Castle
Leap Castle is said to be the most haunted castle in Ireland. It has a long history of conflict and a number of reports from people who claim they had paranormal encounters while visiting there. When I visited several years ago, I went as part of a paranormal research group. I made a point of not looking up the particulars of the castle’s history because I wanted to see if what I saw and heard matched up with what has been previously reported by others without any predispositions.

Michigan Wine
While not everyone might not know it, Michigan is well known for it's own collection of wineries and vineyards. Located both in the North West of the Lower Peninsula centered around Traverse City and down South West in the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph area some of these have been around as long as the 1800's. Now that number as grown, and in 2018 there were 148 wineries operating in Michigan.
