StoryWorth: A Book of Your Stories, One Question at a Time
Our daughter Leslie gave me a StoryWorth subscription for Christmas. I receive an email every morning that asks me a question about my life. I usually answer each question on my iPhone while I am drinking coffee in bed, before I start my day. Most people get one question a week, but I like to write, especially when the words flow right out of my head to the keyboard. At the end of the year, all the questions that I have answered will be the content of a hard copy book. Pictures can be included at the time of my post or at any time before printing my book.

A TRIP TO REMEMBER
There were so many days that Dominick and Natasha wanted to go on their adventure. But they could never getaway. There was always something going on. They were so busy that every month that passed there plains for this beautiful experience grew further and further away. Until one day, they both were fed up with their work and everything going on in their lives that they jumped in their car and took off driving out of the city.

My top hometown to visit
Hometowns bring back nostalgia of childhoods and simplicity. Sometimes they bring back sad memories. It is always in the eyes of the beholder. I have more than one hometown, per say, but the one I truly call home is deep in the mountains of North Carolina. A small quaint town called Banner Elk. My heart hurts, and trills at the same time for such a beautiful destination I get to call home.

Gypsy's Soul
Everyone paints themselves as victims in their stories because no one ever feels sorry for the villain. No ever stops to think that the villain is just a victim that never got rescued by the hero. Inside of every villain is a victim that just wanted to be saved. At least that's what I liked to tell myself whenever I felt bad about leaving home. My mother told me that when I was born, my eyes never stopped searching the room. Almost as if I was looking for something or someone specific. She named me Gypsy because of it, always telling people that from the moment I was born I was always searching for home. I guess that's one thing she got right. I always knew that home was more of a feeling, and less of a place. So although she hated when I ran away, she understood my need to be free. But freedom always comes at a price. A price that I’d be paying for the rest of my life.

I Traveled to Santo Domingo During Quarantine
The plane from New Jersey was packed, and we landed just outside of the Santo Domingo, en un aropuerto, and quickly exchanged our American dollars for Dominican pesos. The exchange rate is 57 pesos for every dollar. I exchanged $100 and we got in lines for customs.

A bit of me
As some of you know already, I live out of my RV. It's been a glorious yet trying year to say the least but the cats and I have managed. Between parking at KOA's, conservation areas, business and church parking lots and most recently, my current job; the cats and I have been fairly comfortable. It's my home. My refuge. My safe haven. The one place that will smell of chocolate chip cookies for 3 weeks after they’ve already been made.

I have roamed the market places, in the crowded streets of Tangier, immersed in the scent of spices being carried through the hot and dusty air. I have dipped my feet in the same Spanish waters where the Armada sailed from and met the spectre of myself on the other side of the Atlantic. I have danced in the snow of Germany and sipped wine in France. I have seen the Yankees play at Yankee Stadium and touched the stone edifice of President Lincoln. I found peace in Malta, swimming through the crystal clear waters of the Blue Lagoon and walking in the ghostly footsteps of the seekers of the Grail. I've seen the halls where Anne Boleyn fell in love with King Henry and I had my first history lesson on the battlements of Gibraltar.
