The Mari El republic is situated in the eastern part of the Eastern European Plain of Russia, along the northern bank of the Volga River. The Mari El republic is a part of the Volga Federal District and has a population of 696, 459 (2010 Census). Yoshkar Ola is the capital and largest city of Mari El. The republic of Mari El is west of Nizhny Novogorod Oblast, north of Kirov Oblast, east of Tatarstan, and south of Chuvashia.

Croatia is located in the Balkans which is in the southeastern part of Europe. The capital of Croatia is Zagreb and the airport there is Franjo Tuđman, which is the country’s largest airport, so this will be how you enter. When you get to Croatia, you will need to find an agency that will provide currency conversion for you. The airport should be able to do this for you. Croatian Kuna is the official currency.

Smoke
From the outside, it’s seen as a scary place. Big, immense, full of crime. It’s seen as dirty, crowded and full of pigeons. And in fairness, it is. It can be overwhelming to those who’ve never set foot in a city - and of course, it would be. It is rainy and stuffy all at once. It is dense and heaving and wildly expensive. But those things only emphasise the moments that flow from the unexpected. There are definitely areas that can get a little rough, but as a whole, as a beating heart, it is beautiful. There is always something to do, someone to see, something going on.
