8 Places to Visit for a Magical Experience
Magic is all around us, we need only seek it. Ever wonder where those misty mountains that J.R.R. Tolkien took us on an expedition through six books are? Or where Harry and Dumbledore apparated to find a Horcrux? Many of the magical universes from pop culture exist in the real world, and they're open for any adventure seeking traveler to experience. This is a guide to magical destinations where anyone can experience the fantasy worlds we dream of—bringing your wand is optional.

Reflection
Many children dream of being superheroes like Batman or Spiderman, acquiring superpowers that allow them to read the minds of others, or the ability to be invisible or extraordinarily strong. Many dream of being astronauts and treading the moon and seeing the stars much more closely. Many others fantasize about becoming super models or great actors and appear on all the televisions. Some dream of fairies and magical creatures, or with huge dinosaurs that become their friends. All children dream big, including me, because dreams do happen. But I guess my imagination was in another dimension. I am 16-years-old, but I still dream like a little girl with big expectations. I used to dream of traveling, meeting new people from all over the world. I dreamed of becoming independent, of having the opportunity to immerse myself completely in another world and to evade myself for a while in order to be able to understand different perspectives, cultures, and lives after all.

Arcadia Archives II
Walk in the Park The Arcadia Management Area in Rhode Island is a very rarely talked about gem that most people have passed or entered. It spans more than 14,000 acres, making it the largest recreational area in the state. Arcadia covers land in West Greenwich, Exeter, Richmond, and Hopkinton (including Browning Mill Pond, Breakheart Pond, and Frosty Hollow Pond). Here, wildlife and people converge.

10 Places Every 'Harry Potter' Fan Should Visit
Unfortunately for us Potterheads, Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, and more magical places are all fictional. However, there are some places that come pretty close to making us feel like we received our acceptance letter when we were 11 and began a magical journey right next to Harry Potter. So, add these 10 places to you bucket list and get your bags ready to travel.

I've Quit My Job, I'm Going to Asia... What Have I Done...
"Just go! Quit your job and go!" my dad yells across the dinner table on a Sunday night about three weeks ago. Fathers around the world are infamous for their "wisdom" and "advice." Mine, however, seems to have the self control of an untrained puppy on acid. A summary of his advice over the past decade can be summed up by this classic: "It's easier to ask forgiveness than permission" (a horrific thing to tell an 11-year-old!). And yet I listen, and the fallout is something that my father fears and takes pride in in equal measure.

Best Cave Hikes in the United States
Caves have a really uncanny way of looking unearthly, all while being one of the most natural environments on Earth. Everything about the scenery found in the strangest caves in the world seems otherworldly—and to a point, that ethereal vibe even can be found when looking at typical caverns throughout the US.

Compass Rose
I sat in the airport, clutching my Venti chai latte from Starbucks like a good little White girl, because isn't that what the Instagram posts have conditioned me to do when traveling? Heart hammering in my chest, I stared at the plane that was about to whisk me away to the great unknown. The part of traveling no one really talks about — the part that isn't captured by perfect aesthetically pleasing photos for the gram' or the Snap story — is the flood of terror that runs alongside the excitement. Both these adrenaline powered emotions simultaneously battling for control, mixed with the rush of sweet, sweet caffeine, had me ready to erupt into a fit of uncontrolled hysteria.

My First Trip Abroad
The following is a post I made on my personal blog back on March 21st, 2016, following my very first international trip abroad. Why publish this? If you're curious about what the international life is like, or curious about doing some solo traveling, this will ideally give you a touch of what to expect, sprinkled in with my own thoughts, opinions, and observations.

The Start of Wander
In December 2016, I finished school at the age of 17, with the expectation from others to know what I want to do for the rest of my life. I thought I knew—I applied to start education at university in 2017. Half way through my first semester (and still shy of 18), I had a feeling that maybe it wasn't the right time or course for me. I started to search for other options. I had always wanted to travel and see the world. I found an option for me... to become an Au Pair. For those who don't know, an Au Pair is practically a live-in nanny who also wants a cultural exchange. I decided that in 2018, I would venture to London and pursue the job of an Au Pair.

I'll Be Damned
This is a true story as told from my own personal perspective of growing up on an island on the eastern coast of Canada. There were many good times interlaced with many bad times as well, but all the while showing how resilient people in my family and in my community are. I hope I am able to convey to you the specialness of this place; the good, the bad, and the ugly. This is a story about living in an isolated home and community, living with parents that are hearing impaired, and also a story about challenges and resliliency, strong family bonds, and love in all its forms. Maybe you will catch a glimpse and wonder about Isle Madame and perhaps visit and see for yourself just how glorious and wonderful and bizarre Isle Madame is! And maybe, just maybe, you will feel with your eyes, feel with the depths of your soul, how challenging and yet how beautiful this island has been and continues to be to this day.
