Experiences Being a Female in a Perverted Society
Imagine this: you’re a 13-year-old female. You’re wearing simple clothing, just a t-shirt and jeans. Nothing sexy about that, right? It’s a plain-Jane outfit. You’re doing something simple; you’re with your mom at the grocery store getting some groceries. In the aisle comes four men, each one doing a double-take as they pass by you, some of them giving you the "elevator eyes." You know those eyes—the eyes that look you up and down like you’re something tasty. You stare right back at them, wondering what they’re looking at. At first, you’re in denial—they couldn’t possibly be looking at you like that, right? They were in their 50s, you in your first year as a teenager. Thirteen-year-old me didn’t know why they were staring. I thought maybe I had some leftover chocolate on my lip, but, alas, my mom told me it was because they were perverts. She told me that some men don’t have control, and that they stare and think horrendous thoughts, all at the expense of a little girl. This day was the pivotal moment when I knew that the world wasn’t what I thought it was.

Beauty
This one is for the people who struggle with how they view themselves on the outside. I'm no Channing Tatum. In fact I have a hard time with regulating my weight, I'm starting to need glasses and you may not be able to tell it but I'm also losing my hair, like a lot of people. I almost said "the average person" but the word average has become a negative word in our society. No one wants to be average because it's less than perfect (remember this word, because I'm going to use it later on).

Men, Let's Talk
In this last couple of days and weeks it’s been hard to avoid the fact of the disgraceful acts shown by Hollywood heavyweight Harvey Weinstein. The outrage shown by society and the injustices towards women has enraged and sparked a lot of women to follow the lead of Hollywood actor Alyssa Milano in hash tagging #Metoo to show that women aren’t alone in the fight against sexual harassment in public spaces or anywhere. The amount of comments and responses to the initial post has reached all corners of the globe and raised a lot of concerns and for me, a lot of sadness that the number of women have been left threatened and made to feel humiliated by men in a sexual way.

It’s wonderful to get dolled up for occasions, events, and even just for everyday errands, but we all love the cozy, comfortable, and versatile feeling of wearing a casual outfit. For a lot of women, it is not only fun to play with different casual styles, but also very empowering, since it proves that you don’t need to be glamorously dressed to be successful. The Mirror
As a mirror, I’ve pretty much lived my life just leaning against one out of the four walls in a maturing 16-year-old girl's room whose name I suspect is Samantha. At least, the reason why I think this is because I usually hear her family calling her Sam, or Sammy, so I made the inference that her name is Samantha, or just maybe her father was hoping to have a boy, so he decided to name her Samuel.

Beautifully Silent Part 1
I have tried to fight the currents of life, from wanting to keep something how it is to having something ripped from your grasp. When you are young, you don't know much; you only know who to love, who to trust, and your mind thinks that everything is completely perfect. I was young when I thought my world was, until I was older did I realize it wasn't. So many changes had to be made, none of them where mine. I was born into society, and because I was young, I had no idea how I had to fit into the world. My parents where rich, so they gave me everything I could want. I had the best tutors, all of them said I was an extremely fast learner.
