GRUPO TELEVISA SAB: GROWTH AND VALUE ALL IN ONE

SPECULATIVE EARNINGS AND RECENT STOCK PRICE MOVEMENTS
In a clever and useful analysis, Ronen Israel, Kristoffer Laursen, and Scott Richardson of AQR use the residual income approach to break down how the value of a company’s stock depends on three components: its book value, the value of its predictable earnings, and the value of its speculative earnings. The first component, the book value, can be read off the balance sheet. The second component, the value of predictable earnings, is based on the assumption that the company meets analyst forecasts for the current year and the following year. In all future years beyond year two, the earnings are assumed to be equal to year two earnings. The final component, the speculative value, equals everything else. The speculative value is calculated by starting with the stock price and subtracting the book value and the value of predictable earnings. The speculative value incorporates all the growth in earnings that the market expects beyond the first two years. To summarize,

It’s incredibly difficult to make big money shorting stocks. You need a strong conviction in your bets. You need to have a firm belief that something is cooking in the company that most people overlook or choose to ignore. Are US Stocks Cheap Today?
Of course, not! The forward Price-to-Earnings (PE) ratio (using Consensus analyst estimates for Earnings) for the S&P 500 Index stood at a whopping 21.6 (as of June 1, 2020). This compares to the 5-year, 10-year, 15-year and 20-year averages for this ratio of 16.7; 15.0; 14.6 and 15.5, respectively. None of these come even close to the nose-bleeding levels we are seeing today.

Best Stocks to buy
I am starting this blog with a very controversial paragraph However i due to research and current events in the world the some China stocks are very good buys at the moment. Now i know they are to "blame" for the current situation of the world but due to this Trump has ordered the federal pension fund to remove its plan to invest several billion dollars into Chinese stocks. Now this alone isn't enough to crash their stocks however this action will definitely cause some uncertainty.

Covid-19 Could Change Your Concept of Growth and Value Stocks
Some expert opinions doing the rounds deal with the idea that if there’s anything the pandemic has done, it is turning the value investing and growth investing factors topsy-turvy. Marketwatch reports Kathleen Houssels and Stephen Dean introducing this idea in an article, on the basis of computational models. Houssels believes conventional investing factors have become redundant. That could be the case till markets get back to normalcy. Until then, following conventional factors could be walking down a blind alley, she says.

My path is different. Yes I worked long hours and yes I worked after school and on the weekends. In fact, my days usually start at 6:30 am, but not to make donuts. My morning begins with a review of the latest news within the Stock market and a plan to select which companies I may want to invest in my passion is trading stocks and here is my story.

A Dive Into Stock Market Investing
It all started the summer of 2017. As many people do,while scrolling through YouTube and i came across a video about investing in the stock market. The video heavily glorified the market and overly advertised the fantasy of getting rich quick. As a recent High School graduate with no intention of attending college i immediately became interested. I began to dive more into to the YouTube universe. Watching many Stock Market "gurus'' and Virtual Mentors. A few caught my eye like Ricky Gutierrez , Jeremy From Financial Education and others. Quickly understanding the basics of investing in the stock market i wanted to know more. I decided to study from the legend Warren Buffet. In doing so, i came across The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham. With all that knowledge i consumed my clueless 17 year old self was optimistic.
